3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a rich russet red with a light tan head. Aromas of freshly baked bread, something akin to Nutella and a little earthy spice from the hops. Flavour is mostly classic English malts, sweet, biscuity, toasty, nutty and just a lingering impression of pale roasted coffee. Medium bodied and easy to drink, definitely something to enjoy time and time again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 11/21/12
Aroma: The nose is balanced between the caramel malts, and some light hops
Appearance: It pours a clear caramel orange color with a beige head and heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is much like the nose, it leans malty, with caramel flavors and some light hops
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a pretty soft carbonation, and a mildly dry finish
This was a pretty nice looking beer, but the rest of it didn’t really live up to the pour. Overall, I thought that this one was a decent lager, nothing too exciting, but no real qualms with it either. I also enjoyed that it had "Benjamin" in the name.
