COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first stab at using souring bacterial techniques at DB for this rare style of beer. Lactobacilli was added to this brew to provide a tart snappy sourness. Straw in color, light bodied with a tart finish.

I’ve had this a couple of times, one at the brewpub in Roseland and once at 622N in Blacksburg. Tasted neat and with syrups (blood orange or peach). This is typical Berliner Weiss with yeasty sourness and a very acid finish. The blood orange syrup that they had at Roseland was really good and matched the beer perfectly. Very nice job on this one gents.

GABF 2014 Rating (Denver, CO). Pours a pale straw yellow hue, decent haze, lively carbonation, a bit dulled. Frothy offwhite head stays as a mellow layer, ok lacing. Aromas show some cheesiness, socks annd funk. A bit of acidity, lemonn, straw and flaked wheat. Initial is a bit acidic,n twangy lactic acidity up front, touch of stomach acid, gentle bread, flaked wheat. Straw, gentle fruit into the middle. Some funk, dryness, more yogurty feel. GBBF Day 1. Cask. Lightly hazy pale gold beer, tiny white head. Palate is light and dry and crisp. Nice light lemony sourness, offset by mildly sweet floral flavours. Thin dry finish produces a mellow sherbet linger. Decent.
