Our first stab at using souring bacterial techniques at DB for this rare style of beer. Lactobacilli was added to this brew to provide a tart snappy sourness. Straw in color, light bodied with a tart finish.

hazy hay lemon color, thin white ring. Nose is dirty wheat and stable, soft lacto dominates light plastic underneath. Lacto cereal sugars at front palate, sweet mid is ins of lemon, pale biscuit through lightly punchy, jowl clenching finish. Balanced and no off notes, if simplistic.

Keg @ Mellow Mushroom C’ville. The pour’s hazy gold with a tiny white head. The nose is fairly faint. A bit of lactic sourness, citrus, ribbon candy. Mild sugary sweetness. The taste is pear, honeyed apple. Biting sour finish. Pretty dry. Light body, fine carbonation. A solid Berliner.

GABF 2013. Pours a hazy very light yellow appearance with a thin white head. Kind of bland, lemon aroma with a bit of stomach acid. Lemon, vanilla, light lacto, tangy flavor. Not bad though there seemed to be a touch of butyric acid in the nose.
