Not bad, but nowhere near as good as my favorite examples of the style. This beer pours very dark brown with little head. The aroma is chocolate and faint cherry notes, it doesn’t have that warm, nutty malt quality that I pick up on in my favorite Baltic porters. That quality is entirely absent in the flavor, too. This tastes more like a doppelbock, with that sulphery finish,This beer also lacks the bright, crisp finish of the best Baltic porters, and it got a little saccharine toward the end. But I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it at all.

Pours deep brown with a fast-fading tan head that leaves a faint costing like pond scrum. Aroma is roasted malts and bakers chocolate. Taste follows the aroma with a touch of sour milk and closing. bitterness. Ahh sweet chocolate. This is a vey nice porter.

12 oz bottle from Sam’s. Pours black, slight reddish hue with a fizzy brown head that dissipates pretty quickly. Aroma is nutty, roasty, some chocolate and coffee in there as well. I get some licorice out of the taste, slightly sweet on the back end. Not much else going on other than maybe some chocolate in there as well. Body is above average, creamy yet silky mouthfeel. Overall a decent, easy-drinking Baltic Porter.

Bottle... Pours black with a small, creamy, lightly tanned head. The aromatics are a fantastic fusion of brownies, vanilla and fudge. Full-bodied with modest carbonation and a lightly creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is roasty and bittersweet with a charred, dark-chocolaty, moderately bitter finish. Quite bold for a lager. Pulls up just shy of being world class. Bottle courtesy of ygtbsm94!
