Aromas of black cherry, pink cotton candy, and toast. Looks like English black tea, not much head foam. Sweet and fruity, with subtle bitterness. Medium-full bodied, with good carbonation, and a lingering sweet finish.

Woody and a little astringent. Some sugary sweet malt. Pours clear brown with ok head and lacing. Some spice here but not a wonderful dubbel. Bottle.

Had tried the wood aged version, this was my first crack at the regular, thanks to a pitcher at the volleyball club. Pours very, very dark brownish red, slight head that lasts well. Aroma is caramel malt, slight raisin. Flavor matches. Medium to light body, dry. Remarkably popular with the folks the table. Very slight Belgian yeast spiciness as it warmed. Nice stuff.

Gift from dlovell2, thanks! 12oz bottle. Pours dark brown with thin tan head. Yeasty, malty, sweet aroma. Dark malty flavor with hints of spices, toffee, molasses, raisins, sugar. Sweet yeasty finish. Very "dubbel" in flavor due to yeast strains.

Pours a ruby brown with a thin off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma. Medium mouthfeel. Tastes of over-ripe fruits with a touch of chocolate and toffee. A fairly decent Dubbel.

Small beige head with modest lacing atop a clear mahogany body. Vinous aroma accented with soft fruit and toffee. Flavor is sweet and malty, moderately yeasty followed by a light floral hop profile. Aftertaste is equally sweet with some spicyness showing up. Medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with an average length finish.

Aroma of dark fruits, cherry, fig, spice and licorice. Dark amber pour with little head. Chocolate, malt, and the rest of the taste is similar to aroma. Good beer, but not the same level as your usual Belgian dubbels. OK

Bottle. ABV listed as 7.5%. Ruby pour with a short tan head. Aroma is dark fruit notes, toasted malt caramel and yeast. Taste is sweet malt, lots of caramel, soft spice, dark fruit, yeast and toasted grains. Body is medium with a soft, effervescent carbonation. Ends with more sweet malt notes, spices, yeast notes, caramel, toasted grains, dark bread, dark fruit (cherries), hints of cherry cough syrup and light nuttiness.

Wonderful aroma of smoked malt. Light brown color and a taste of malt with a slightly watery malt finish.

I like everything about this beer. Dark rich color, wonderful sweet aroma, molasses and Bourbon.
