2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber brown body with a very fizzy and short lived off-white head that faded almost immediately. The nose is dark fruits with some plum and ripe bananas as well as a moderate alcohol note. The flavor is pretty bland and thin actually, smelled like there would be a bit more going on in here, but it’s pretty simple. A little fruity sweetness and light alcohol on the finish. Not much in the way of yeastiness or softness. Medium bodied and kinda flat on the palate with some fine fizzy carbonation. Uninspiring beer for sure.

Woody and a little astringent. Some sugary sweet malt. Pours clear brown with ok head and lacing. Some spice here but not a wonderful dubbel. Bottle.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had tried the wood aged version, this was my first crack at the regular, thanks to a pitcher at the volleyball club. Pours very, very dark brownish red, slight head that lasts well. Aroma is caramel malt, slight raisin. Flavor matches. Medium to light body, dry. Remarkably popular with the folks the table. Very slight Belgian yeast spiciness as it warmed. Nice stuff.

Gift from dlovell2, thanks! 12oz bottle. Pours dark brown with thin tan head. Yeasty, malty, sweet aroma. Dark malty flavor with hints of spices, toffee, molasses, raisins, sugar. Sweet yeasty finish. Very "dubbel" in flavor due to yeast strains.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Small beige head with modest lacing atop a clear mahogany body. Vinous aroma accented with soft fruit and toffee. Flavor is sweet and malty, moderately yeasty followed by a light floral hop profile. Aftertaste is equally sweet with some spicyness showing up. Medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with an average length finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of dark fruits, cherry, fig, spice and licorice. Dark amber pour with little head. Chocolate, malt, and the rest of the taste is similar to aroma. Good beer, but not the same level as your usual Belgian dubbels. OK
