This pale bronze beer is medium in body with intense hop flavor and aroma. Our IPA is brewed in the style of the “west coast” with robust hop character coming from American grown varieties of hops. IPA’s are amongst the most popular craft brewed beers as they have moderate strength and tons of flavor. This is not your Grandfathers beer! 5.9% alcohol by volume, 60 IBUs

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a crystal-clear golden color. This produces lots of head, about three fingers high, and shaded barely off-white. It fades to about one finger in a short time, featuring a decently frothy texture. Nice sheets of lacing are left behind. S: I note a lot of Simcoe hops, providing mango, melon, pine, and catty notes. Biscuity malt comes out the more it warms up. A good aroma, not an amazing one. T: This opens with slight mango and melon notes. Touches of biscuity malt fills out the middle, before it finishes with a moderate hop bitterness, both piny and herbal. The back end in particular offers a strange grassy bitterness to it; this quality is probably why I don’t like this more. M: Good crispness, but a bit heavy in texture. This would be quite drinkable if the herbal finish didn’t rub me the wrong way. Carbonation is non-intrusive. O: While I’m thankful to see a relatively local IPA hit the market, it just can’t compete with the heavy hitters in the style. There’s too much weird bitterness for me to love this. Not horrible, but I wouldn’t seek out again.

12 oz longneck @ Tri-Cities Airport. Clear medium amber with thin white head. Aroma is toasted caramel malt, big earthy herbal hops. Taste is dark roasty caramel malt; bitter grassy hops. Lingers bitter on the finish. Old school IPA, a bit too malt dominate for my taste, not bad for what it is.

Draught at Brasserie Brightwell, Easton MD. Pours a hazy golden amber, with a smallish off-white head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. The aroma offers spruce and grapefruit hops, with caramel malt. Spruce hops up front lead into a nicely malty body, with plenty of caramel. Grapefruit hops finish it off. Not the most hoppy IPA I’ve had, but it’s very nicely balanced. Quite satisfying.

05-02-16 bottle date so an older sample. Mild aroma of pine and citrus. Nice deep golden color with a white head. Rich sweet malt up front. Carmel really comes though. Resin, pine bitterness balances nicely. Medium mouthfeel. Finish is a nice balance of sweet and bitter. Nice. Looking forward to a fresh sample.

From a can. Hazy golden. Plenty of head. Decent IPA. A little too bitter to me.

Clear golden pour with a thin white head and light lacing .... aroma of citrusy hops and light floral hops with caramel malts .... taste has a citrusy and floral hop ... think rindy grapefruit and floral ... light pine .... has some dry hopped backbone and caramel malts ... finish is dry and floral with citrusy and piney hops lingering slightly.... very average and boring

Pour from bottle was cloudy amber with minimal head. Aroma of citrus and floral. Initial taste was of grapefruit followed by pine and tar. The pine and tar taste lingers. An OK IPA, but bitter aftertaste makes it a one drink only.

BTL’s Nomads come thru again. Up front hops in nose and body overpower the firepit smoke. For some reason the 60 ibus in this critter seem to outdo a recently rated 70 ibu brew. Maybe its just me. Moderate body. lingering finish.

Draft beer. Clear and golden color, not much i n the way of aroma, but a lot of hoppy bitterness. Seems like a more West Coast style IPA.
