3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 beerandIT (298) - Richmond, USA - APR 30, 2009
In the aroma there is some nice fruit. However, on the flavor I was pleased with a nice hoppier bit then I had expected. Nice pale ale here.

Orange and rosehip nose, heavy on the latter. Clear amber, medium head, good lacing. Orange peel flavor. Thin, low carbonation. Nice flavor, but after four beers from this brewer, three have been too thin. I can live with that, but it bears mentioning at this point.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Thorpe429 (3824) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - AUG 4, 2011
On tap at the brewpub last weekend.
Pours a slightly-hazy golden color with a two-finger white head and some nice sticky lacing on the way down. Thin cap throughout. The nose carries loads of Columbus hops with a light herbal quality and a very nice citrus presence. Lots of citrus in the flavor and a really nice finishing bitterness. Light body with good carbonation. Very refreshing and drinkable, would certainly have this again.
Serving type: on-tap
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Velkyal (220) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - APR 2, 2011
The current batch of Four Point uses Amarillo rather than Columbus. Pours the colour of clover honey and sports a persistent white head. The nose is exactly what you expect from Amarillo, grapefruit, tinged with a touch of pine, like a very diluted Dettol (I guess you have to be British to understand that). Taste is classic American style Pale Ale, lots of citrus hop flavours backed by nice juicy sweet malts. Medium bodied and very nice.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Drake (5232) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - APR 26, 2009
Served on draft at the brewery. A 4% hop bomb... nice concept. Pours a slightly hazed copper color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Strong hop aroma with notes of peach, pineapple, citrus, resin and melon. Taste of citrus and resiny hops. Lacking on malt character but still well balanced and very nice. Fairly dry. Medium bodied.
