Draft. Pours clear gold with a white head. Clean and grainy aroma. The flavor is clean and grainy with some light floral notes. Not bad.

This honestly has more in common with a macro than any sort of well made craft brew. Over carbonated, pee yellow coloring, no malt profile, no hop aroma, burns the throat like malt liquor........not impressed at all. How did this win TWO gold medals at GABF? I’m 0 for 2 with this brewpub.

Tap. Very pale like straw with thin white head. Faint sweet aroma and flavor. Not too light and not too heavy. Crisp.

Crystal clean pale yellow pour with one finger of white head. Lightly sweet aroma with some bready notes and wet hay. Flavor the same, nice sweetness to grassy balance. Light body and medium carbonation.

Shenandoah Throwdown, 2011. Pale yellow pour with a think fluffy white head. Crisp, clean grassy hop aroma. Light sweetness when it first hits the tongue. Quickly turns to bitternesss. Crisp, bready flavor. Bitterness lingers on the tongue.

Tap at brewery. Pours clear straw yellow with a medium, fizzy white head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is malty, light corn, and light spicy hop notes. Flavor is malt dominant with light bitterness and a dry finish. Light body, warmth, and carbonation.

Had this during the 2011 Shenandoah Throwdown, growler courtesy of Paul. Pours a clear yellow gold with a large white head. Nice floral notes with touches of vanilla as it warms. Crisp and clean, light grain and toast. Lightly sweet, very crisp, with a touch of grain. Clean and cool, super sessionable. Very nice stuff.

Growler at Shenandoah Throwdown. Poured a clear golden yellow with a healthy, bright white head. Nose is pretty muted with older malt and honey. Opens to fresh dough. Taste is sweeter, mild soap, ending with some mealy apple type of flavors but nothing bad. No butter, no flaws. Extremely simple Helles lager.

On tap at the brewpub last weekend. Pours a clear yellow color with a good white head and a bit of spotty lacing on the sides. Thin collar throughout. Good balance between some light hops and crisp grainy malt. Slight straw and grain throughout in both the nose and flavor. Good noble hop presence. Light body and good carbonation; really crisp. Great example of the style. Serving type: on-tap
