A striking gold color, light bodied with subtle, bready malt flavors. A quenching, crisp and dry finish. Gold Medal 2009 and 2010 Great American Beer Festival, International Style Pilsner Bronze Medal 2012 Great American Beer Festival

Pours a clear wan yellow with a thick buff head. Aroma is crisp and malty with an underpinning of pear. Crisp flavor is typical of a lager - this could be a good "gateway" beer to wean people off the industrial swill. Texture is smooth and lively. A lager with backbone.

12oz can, from Perfect Pour. Pours a clear golden color. Thin ring of white head. Couple loose bits of lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lightly soft carbonation. A light roughness to the texture. Bready malt, light bit of corn. Moderate sweet taste. Light bitter. Light bit of pepperiness to it. Not a bad lager. Pretty refreshing and clean. Satisfying light sweetness to it typical of a helles. Not much to it, either, though. Could be a bit smoother too, for a 4.5% craft lager.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2014 On draft. Rich yellow color. Burst of lager flavor that yields to a clean dryness. Could drink 3 of these and think I?d had one.

Tap @ Sedona. Light gold pour with a modest head. Mild lemon and a bit of grass on the fairly sedate nose. Some husky grain, more lemon flavor. Sheet cake. Really crisp, clear finish. Light body, high carbonation. A very pleasant summer drinker.

Gold pour at GABF. White head, not much lacing. Corn, grains, cereal, light lemons, flinty note at the end.

GABF 2013. Pours a fairly clear golden appearance with an off white head. Cracker, lightly grainy, herbal, a touch floral aroma. Light lemon, a touch husky, lightly floral, a bit earthy, slightly toasty flavor. Not hard to drink but a bit boring.

Draft at GABF 2013. Pale malt expressed as biscuits, crackers, faint sourdough bread. Yeast and water give is a mineral / vitamin smell to go with faint huskiness. Comparable to Full Sail Session Lager, which i also a little husky, mineraly and sometimes eggy / sulfuric. Medium high acid, frothy carbonation, enjoyable dryness with some lemon oil hop showing through after it warms a bit.

On draft in Shanendoah, pour was golden to orange, thin head. Aroma of caramel, corn/adjuncts, grains. The flavor followed, slight grassiness in there too, finishing a tad sweet, definitely not a clean dry lager. Like a Sammy Boston Lager, but I like the latter better. Mouthfeel was moderate to full, below average carbonation.

Aromas of biscuity malts, and earthy, floral hops. Pale gold, with quickly fading white head. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter, with some corn-like, adjunct flavors. Light body, low carbonation, and a bready finish.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 11/21/12

Aroma: It has a fairly light lager-style nose, with some malts, grains, and grass
Appearance: This beer pours into the glass a clear golden-white color with some medium lace
Flavor: The flavor is also pretty mild, a little bit sweet, this one has a light flavor, but a solid one
Palate: The body is fairly light, but it is not watery for style, and it has a fizzy carbonation to the finish
Overall Impression: While this was not a special beer, and I didn’t love it, I definitely found some things about it that I liked. It is an easy drinker with a nice feel. The nose is kind of dull, but it steps up a bit in the areas of taste and feel.
