This incarnation of the NBA is “imperial.” A blend of doppelbock, barleywine and imperial stout dry hopped with whole flower centennial hops. Deep brown in color with complex malt tones. 8.5% 40 IBU

On tap at the brewpub on 02/14/2010. Clear deep brown body with ruby highlights and a small creamy off-white head. Sweet floral hop and nutty aroma. Sweet nutty, malty flavor with a floral hop background. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy brownish bronze color with a medium tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, nuts, bitter leafy hops, toffee. Taste is roasted malts, nuts, bitter leafy hops, toffee, green apple, caramel. Smooth, medium bodied. A bit of an alcohol burn.
