Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a pitch black color with a medium sized tan head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malts, espresso, chocolate and a faint bit of tobacco. Taste is roasted malts, caramel, espresso, bitter hops, chocolate. Very sweet but also very dark and roasty. Full bodied and very smooth. Everything comes together on this one... probably this brewery’s best.

Strong aroma of medium roast coffee. Cola brown, medium yellow head, good lacing. Sweet coffee flavor. Medium body. Not complex, but solid. Simply good.

Deep brown pour with a hint of red. Large coffee/espresso aroma. Huge coffee flavor with a hint of abv. Medium bodied with low carbonation.

on tap-pours a rich light brown head and black color. Aroma is coffee grounds, roasty. Taste is coffee grounds, roasty-dark malt, some acidic hops. Not my taste.

On tap at the brewpub on 01/14/2010. Clear dark black body with ruby highlights and a medium creamy brown head. Big coffee aroma on a chocolate and roast background. BIG coffee flavor with some roast, chocolate, caramel and light molasses. Full body with moderately low carbonation.
