Our first crack at using pear in brewing! This light bodied beer is a beautiful straw color and has a smooth crisp finish with a delicious and quenching pear flavor. A great easy-drinking beer that’s perfect to kick off the summer!

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear gold color with a white head of foam that dissipates at a moderate rate. The aroma hits me with apples and pears, and reminds me a lot of a cider. The taste, however, sort of falls off as far as the fruit taste goes. It seems like an apple or pear flavored water. Does not taste authentic. Moderate sweetness. High carbonation and light in body. If somebody told me this was an apple flavored pop, I would believe it.

Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Light malts, mildly sweet. Trace of citrus. Sweetish pear and a little apple. Does what it says on the tin, but I was hoping for something a little more sophisticated.

On tap at the brewery. Heavy aroma of pear. Taste is not nearly as strong - definitely more pear aroma than flavor, but interesting nonetheless.

To date my least favorite offering from DB. I have given plenty of favorable ratings for DB’s beers but this one I regret to say is a bad idea gone wrong. It tastes like something I should put on my pancakes. I understand the target-marketing angle, which says less about our country’s beer consumers than it does about DB, but this swill should never have made it past the drawing board. The primary reason for my degree of vitriol is that this beer is included in the DB summer adventure pack :(
