Our first crack at using pear in brewing! This light bodied beer is a beautiful straw color and has a smooth crisp finish with a delicious and quenching pear flavor. A great easy-drinking beer thatís perfect to kick off the summer!

Bottle to a pint. Pale clear yellow, minimal head and lacing. Pear sweetness on the nose and palate. Dry clean finish. A light summertime brew.

Wife ordered this draft at Arlington Cinema íNí Drafthouse in Virginia served in a mug, pale yellow color with white head. Aroma of pear and some pale malt sweetness. Taste is pretty much the aroma, maybe a little more fruitiness. Light body, moderate carbonation, crisp with clean finish. Nice enough pear flavored lager.

7/18/2014. On tap at the brewery. Pale yellow with a white head. Noticeable pear aromas with grain, malt and grassy notes. Crisp and clean with a refreshing pear flavor. Somehow this works.

Pours a clear straw yellow with a fairly thick pale buff head. Malty aroma has a firm overtone of pear. Flavor has firm malty and pear notes, bit sweet, with a hint and more of woody hops. Texture has average viscosity but good fizz.

bright gold color; hoppy aroma with maybe just a hint of pear; a crisp, clean, bitter lager with just slight notes of pear; this one surprised me - not at all the fruit beer that I was expecting; a nice, refreshing beer

Bottle. Pale yellow pour. Aroma is light malt and light fruity esters. Sweet start with the fruity esters a little more forward at the end. Light and not too fruity.

Appearance: clear medium gold, white soapy head light. Aroma: graham cracker, hint of pilsner malt, sweet pear juice and light honey. Taste: light crackery malts, bit of caramel, light pear and juicy fruit gum. Finish: cracker, lightly sweet finish, with hint of grassy, floral hops and a definite but subdued note of pear. Notes: NoVA Brewfest 2014. This was pretty freaking good. Reminded me of Dogfish Headís Piercing Pils, but with a tad less pear and a little less hop bite. Might have been the most refreshing beer of the day.

Sampled at RVC tap takeover event. Clear gold, decent head. Aroma faintly of pale malts, faint fruit. Flavor is like a light, clean helles. Couldnít find pear without a small search party. Thought it was just me, but others with good palates agreed. Pear is subtle, so not a surprise! But a bit more would have been OK.

A pretty good one trick pony. Has a refreshing pear flavor, though not much else. Tried at the DC Drink the District Derby Days with Matt and Justin.

Draft at J Brianís Tap Room in Fredericksburg The beer poured a clear amber with an off white head with modest lacing. There was hints of pear on the nose and in the taste. The light body beer had average carbonation. The finish was clean with no aftertaste.
