Serving: Draft. Pours a cloudy brown with a small, light tan head. The nose is lighter in the smoke than an Aecht marzen with a little meatiness to it. The flavor has some smoked meat, a little earth, and light malt notes. Finishes fairly clean, but not as crisp or as clean as I hoped. Good, not great.

Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Smoked malty aroma with a light sweetness. The flavor has smokey and sweet malts with low bitterness, and some lighter toasted malty notes. Pretty good.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy red-amber color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of smoke, caramel malts and a fruity finish. The taste is assertive smoke, stone fruits, caramel and a bitter finish. Medium bodied.
