This refreshing pale ale was created to be consumed while enjoying the bounty of the Bay and protecting local waters. Gold in color with a light body and pleasant hop bouquet of traditional noble German hops blended with the intense citrus of American hop varieties.

22oz bottle fresh from the brewery. Pours a pretty straw color, completely clear. Puffy 4 finger off white head with an excellent retention. Leaves a sticky lacing down my snifter. Aromas of fresh citrusy and piney hops, straw and pale malts. Taste us similar, juicy west coast hops and crisp golden malts. Citurs rind, earthy barley, and fresh water. Itís like I can actually taste the Chesapeake bay in this ale. Great hoppy pale ale, I am glad I tried it.

Itís a typical pale...not bad and not great. I was hoping for a bit more coming from DB...i guess this is geared toward the mainstream beer drinker with just a little extra malt and hop flavor... meh...

Can, drank from the can; no appearance notes. Aroma and taste are pine, metallic, light sweet and light bitter. Ungood.

on tap @ Devilís Backbone / Roseland VA --- Clear light copper amber color, off-white head, full curtain of lace. Taste is semi-sweet malt that hits pretty hard on the 26 IBUs on the swallow, with the hops maintaining control the rest of the way. A light brew by nature, but has solid flavor all the way through.

Underwhelming beer a hint of hops and citrus on the nose, looks good amber color with a lasting white well laced head. Watery feel without much taste just a hint of hops, no lasting finish.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. This is a golden yellow brew that has a nice hop aroma. It has a small white head and is a medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation

Can. Clear gold body with a frothy white head that left some nice lacing. The aroma is just lightly hoppy with some floral and citrus notes over a light crackery malt base. The flavor is pretty light on the hops, minimal bitterness, floral and perfumy hops, not much in the way of citrus. The malt is on the drier side at least, with minimal sweetness. Light bodied and easy drinking with soft gentle carbonation. Not a stand-out of the style, drinkable enough though.
