This refreshing pale ale was created to be consumed while enjoying the bounty of the bay. Gold in color, light to medium in body, and a crisp finish with hints of citrusy American hop varieties.

Picked up a 22oz bottle at a local Nellysford grocery store. Poured an amber color with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma was some light hop notes, malt character to it. Flavor was some balanced malt and hop notes, nice citrus here. Very sessionable brew.

22oz bottle, thanks to Drake: pours a clear bright golden with a spotty-lacing froth of white head. Has a fresh piny and grassy hop nose with a light malty sweetness. Starts with pretty good fullness and clean pale malty sweetness and a zesty herbal hop bitterness before a drier, smooth bittersweet finish. True to style and quite drinkable.

Pale golden yellow with a white head that fades quickly. Very nice, crisp, refreshing, and dry. Punchy and slightly hoppy with a dry but malty base.

22oz bottle fresh from the brewery. Pours a pretty straw color, completely clear. Puffy 4 finger off white head with an excellent retention. Leaves a sticky lacing down my snifter. Aromas of fresh citrusy and piney hops, straw and pale malts. Taste us similar, juicy west coast hops and crisp golden malts. Citurs rind, earthy barley, and fresh water. It’s like I can actually taste the Chesapeake bay in this ale. Great hoppy pale ale, I am glad I tried it.

Poured from big bottle. Aroma of hops. Toasted malt, hay. Nice lookin clear gold with puffy white head. Lots of hops in flavor, pine with floral and citrus as well. Dry malt, wheat, hay and citrus. Dry, refreshing feel. Well done.

Serving: 22 oz. bottle. It pours a hazy light yellow with a slight white head. The nose has nice grassy and citrus notes. The flavor follows suit with grass, light lemon, and pale malt. Light in body with a pretty clean finish. This brew is in the same vein as Victory Summer Love and is a great session brew for the warmer months or just a solid daily drinker. Very clean and very nice.

Voting day, and I elect this bottle. Pours very light in color, yellow amber, fizzy, and downright macro-looking. It has a nice fresh airy aroma of light citric hops, and the flavor holds up to the promised. Exceptionally easy to drink, crisp, clean and very well balanced. Nice to see people brewing good ’regular’ beers and not always pushing for monster ABVs and knockout flavors. (#4816, 11/6/2012)
