3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bright amber appearance with a small white head and little lacing. Aroma of yeast, soft fruit and sweet malt. More sweetness, grains, yeast and light fruit in the taste. Modestly hopped aftertaste with a mild alc burn. Medium bodied mouthfeel with soft carbonation and a lingering finish.

Transfer from BA review on 3-10-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours an amber color with a two finger white head. The head fades over about a two minute time frame to leave a good level of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma is heaviest of a bready and doughy smell mixed with some fruity notes of a citrus and peach nature. Yeasty smells as well as well as a tiny bit of spice are also present in the nose but these are relatively light.
Taste – The taste begins with flavors of a bready taste with some fruity flavors of citrus. Mixed with these is a grapefruit hop taste. As the taste advances some yeasty flavors greet the tongue as well as some spice flavors of clove and cardamom. The yeasty and Belgian spice flavors stay throughout the taste, but remain forever relatively light. Some more herbal and grassy flavors come to the tongue at the end leaving a slightly bitter and biting off flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The beer has a moderate level of creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is slightly below average. Both were OK for the flavors of the brew, but were really nothing too exceptional.
Overall – Nothing too special here. The taste was a bit off at the end and really it had nothing too great about it going on. Not one I would go to on occasion.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle BONED on May 05 2014. Nose is sweet and yeasty, really extremely strong pear ester, medium vanilla and lighter citrus, really classic Belgian yeast character! Touch of apple juice. Clear dark golden body with aggressive, abundant carbonation and a soapy off-white head. Taste is halfway in-between dry and sweet, touch mineral and carbonic, lightly metallic, lots of yeast flavor with faint AJ and very little citrus or pear, somewhat surprisingly. Very heavy fullish body with goldenish pils malt, light caramel and wood. Disappointing how this worked out given the admirable, exemplary aromatics out of the bottle.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle pour..nice clear boned on date May 2014...pours a golden amber with not much head..interesting carbonation pattern present with two patterns emerging.nose doesn’t have much going on..slight belgian presence intertwined with a trace of pine/lemon reminiscent of cleaning product...medium bodied with a noticeable sticky fruity coating that remains on the palate...not as complex as hoped..decent offering..but nothing really stands out here...

Mini growler from Town Center Market. Pours medium golden color with very little foam. Nose is full of yeast; tart but fruity. Dull tartness, slightly musty finish, not much hops on the tongue. Like it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From the bottle, it pours a perfect orange-amber with a creamy light eggshell head that diminishes to a thin ring of suds down the glass. The aroma is of pure citrus, as the Belgian yeast strain indicates, with latent dank basement hues available. The flavor is of big apple cider-fruity flavors upfront. The middle of the pour combines a nice mellowing pear/melon note, while introducing a piney biittering hop. This is a nice contingency, as the middle portion of the palate is well-satiated. It all comes together in the end, and honestly, it’s one of the best Belgian-inspired IPA’s I’ve ever tried. The drinkability is superb, and it never lets itself get too far toward the American hophead without paying its due respect to the Belgian style.Too often is this the case for a brew of this growing genre, and it is not easy to walk the tightrope, finding the right balance between the two. And for finding that balance, I give this great kudos. Very well done.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Clean and golden, small head. Apple cider, Begian yeast alcohol aroma. Belgian yeast taste, roasted malt, slight apple and bitter. Not what I would call an IPA. Drinkable beer

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle pours a clear dark gold with some soapy, white head. Nose has some candy sugar, some pine, some soap, orange peel, not a whole lot else. Flavor has some candy sugar, a hint of spice, a hint of booze, but then soap, orange peel and pine. Thicker beer, but mostly clean. I suppose it blends both an IPA and a Belgian Ale, but neither well.

4oz pour at Meridian Pint, totally clear gold with one ring of white head. Nose is nice, fruity, a little root vegetables, some candy sugar, some light citrus. Flavor is more sweet, much more sugar, some lemon, some grapefruit. Fairly clean. Medium bodied, dry finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lemon zest aroma with subtle caramel notes. Crystal clear amber, thick, yellow head. Tastes as it smells with the addition of lillies and pears. Metallic copper quality appears on the back of the palate and is especially pronounced upon warming. Medium body, alcohol nicely hidden, delightfully tangy. Exceptionally well balanced and delicious.

Orange peel nose. Clear golden, thin head. Overripe orange flavor. Lemongrass finish. Noticeable Belgian character, but could use a little more.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Not a great effort. Tropical aroma. Lacks yeast character of most Belgians. I don’t know why this would be considered an IPA either. Taste is mostly rust-like or metallic. Not sure what to do with the other 5 beer in the six pack.
