Keg @ Brixx, C’ville. Gold pour with a small head. Robust aroma of toasted grain, light peach and white grape. Jellies and honey. Slightly boozy. Similar flavor. Hot apple crisp. Grain. Brown sugar and honey. Definitely drinks above its ABV. Full body, soft carb.

Where and how: bottle 355ml
Aromanice golden malts. Sweet but not overly. Nice support from hop side. Clean and approachable.
Appearance :
Top: lighter white top, sparse lace.
Base: nice deep golden sunny look.
Palate : full bodied. Clean
Taste: front welcoming with sweet malts. Herbal, floral hop travel along. Side and top end accented with mild drying alcohol. All parts paired very well.
Other notes impressive sample of pale bock style.

12 oz. bottle, from my secret santa. Pours clear gold, with a small, off-white head. Straw, biscuit dough, lemon zest, and coriander. Cloyingly sweet, with just a light spice and bitterness. Medium body, creamy, and thick, but with a clean finish. Overall, this is a sweet, sticky, and relatively complex beer.

7/18/2014. On tap at the brewery. Golden yellow with a white head. Fruity aromas, apples, malt. Not a lot going on to make it interesting.

Pours a clear golden with a thick and fine-bubbled eggshell head. Aroma is crisp and malty with a hint of apple. Crisp flavor has notes of sweet malt and apple plus a snip of hops. Smooth texture is average, but this still an above average brew. Should make you purr.

Crisp golden coloured body with a very thin white head. Aroma of pale malt, alcohol, light sugars and a hint of honey. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive metallic malt up front with a strong hint of flowers, some deeper yeast and a relatively bitter finish showing some english or german hops. Aftertaste has a bit of a malt characteristic with an assertive bitterness, some lighter grassy notes and a bit of sweetness, but not much. Overall, not such a great offering, but about right for the style, perhaps on the bitter side of things, but not awful. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom [Eye St]) on 14-September-2013 for US$2.00 sampled at home in Washington on 03-November-2013.

Little aroma, perhaps peach. Clear amber, headless. Dry peach flavor. Fruity for a lager and not really doing much for me. A rare miss from a great brewery, but still respectable.

Bottle. Golden and light, with almost no visible body presence. Drinks with a flatter essence, a definite corny malt personality at the forefront. Very easy to drink for something above 6%, but one of the less notable offerings from this place. (#5270, 9/30/2013)
