On tap at State Line. Pours a medium amber color with a frothy one finger head. Aroma is very nutty and toasty with slight hints of caramel. Rich, sweet malt taste at the beginning, with some noble hop bitterness coming through at the end. Biscuit, toasted grain, lemony citrus, caramel, and syrupy sweet flavors throughout. Nice clean medium body with ample carbonation.

Bottle from Harris Teeter. Golden amber pour with a small head. The nose is nice robust malts. Plenty of caramel and nut. Soft red apple. The taste is toasted grain, bread. More caramel-dipped red apple and nuts. Medium body, fine carbonation. A really nice vienna. Good malt presence. Not overbearing. Overall, great for what it is.

Sampled during CBC 2013. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Light caramel aroma, malty, biscuits, and a touch of nuttiness. Lightly sweet flavor, nutty, a touch of caramel and biscuit. Nice for the style.

On tap at Harry’s Tap Room at Dulles airport. Dark amber body with thin head. Nose is wheat, caramel and toffee. Taste is caramel, malts. Thin texture. Okay.

Draft at the dc airport. Pours clear amber with a medium sized white head, some lacing, some carbonation. The aroma is malty with some nuts, light caramel, some toffee. The taste is bready, a little biscuit, a sweet toffee, light caramel. Solid.

Appearance: Pours a thin ½” sudsy head that recedes quickly. Light lacing. Color is reddish amber and mostly clear. Significant carbonation bubbles streaming.
Aroma: Bready malt dominates with a bit of hop aroma as well as yeast. The bread aroma smells like fresh whole wheat.
Mouthfeel: Mostly watery and crisp with a dry finish.
Flavor: Liquid bread is the correct description of this beer. The bready malt is the primary flavor but adds some caramel malt sweetness and a nice hop bite for balance. There is a ’burnt toast’ bitterness that seems to be common in Vienna style lagers that I have tried.

malty sweet on nose, pours amber with hints of red, little head, no lacing. Malty sweet, almost a bit of banana mid taste, then finishes med long finish.

On draft sitting at IAD airport. This is going to be a long day. I had heard good things about this brewery, but they only had this lager on tap. It’s not bad, but it’s not good either. Dark amber, clear - some head that went away completely after a few minutes. Drinkable, but not interesting in any way. Se buscuit in the finish. Very mild.

Draft at Conch and Bucket. Overall a fairly standard Vienna and average new overall. Nothing bad, just not terribly exciting but this category can get a little bland in general.
