1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Apple juice color, not much head. Weak sweet malt nose...a little toasted scent...smells thin. Tastes like a fancy college beer (not a great thing). Buttery mouthfeel, moderate carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber and clear with a thick off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel and faint grains. Taste is light molasses up front transforming to some tasty malts before dropping off at the finish. Very easy to drink.

16oz Draft 1/21/15 (Sheraton Norfolk)-Pours amber with a small head. Aroma of caramel, malt, and sweetness. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and is quite tasty.

Beautiful clear amber copper. No head. Crisp. Kinda sweet at first that rounds out to a dryness. Nice body. Toffee and caramel. Thx Erin.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Biscuity, caramel on aroma and pallette. Middle of the road variation on the style. Not bad but not great either. Rather this than Bud.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pretty good for a Virginia microbrew, with almost none of the overhopped elements and a good balance between caramel sweetness and everything else (the vagueness of the latter is a big reason for the score being relatively low). Nice find at the LH lounge in Dulles

Cooper caramel color. Light malt aroma. Strong carbonation up front. Caramel malt with German/bohemian character hop to balance.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Vienna lager. "Vienna" is bit churched up though, like Joe Dirt trying to go by Joseph Dirtë. The Viennese, or Wieners, call it Wien, and this style is therefore called a Wienerlager, or maybe just "weenie" for short. For a weenie, this is in the upper ech’. The color is a clear deep penny copper, and there is a layer of whitish foam. The aroma is of caramel apple, nuts, and mild roast. The flavor is at the right sweetness level, and the bitterness is mild but there. Medium-bodied and slick on the palate. This one is a wiener - I mean a winner - but a wiener too.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle... Clear golden pour with copper glimmers and a tiny, fleeting, white head. I can’t pull anything from the aroma other than a malty, toasty note. Medium-bodied and thin with lively carbonation. The flavor is excellently balanced, but it’s also the dictionary definition of “mundane.” Crisp, clean, watery finish. Goes well with Mexican food.
