UPDATED: JUN 24, 2014 Appearance: clear coppery amber with one finger of light tan head and medium lacing. Aroma: toasted brown bread, with a hint of hay, honey, and brown sugar. Taste: toasty, with flavors of golden grahams, brown sugar, toast, grass, and a hint of nuts. Finish: clean, crisp, dry, and a little toasty. Notes: Excellent lager, very basic, balanced, well-crafted, and tasty.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 11/21/12
Aroma: This one has a fairly malty nose, with toast and caramel being the main components
Appearance: It pours a clear caramel color, with a white head that leaves medium-heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is much like the nose, fairly malty, on the sweet side, with caramel and toast
Palate: This one has a light-medium body, with an alright mouthfeel, and a fairly clean finish
The pours was probably the stand-out component of this beer, otherwise, it is fine, but kind of unexciting and kind of run-of-the-mill. Even so, it is certainly drinkable and worth trying.

12 oz bottle from Whole Foods Foggy Bottom. Lotso malts. If lotso malts, lotso bread, mucho nut flavor is your thing, you will probably like this. It does have a surprisingly full heavy flavor. For me, the 20 IBU tasted like 10. No hop presence, and not much bittering going on at all. Need a Victory Prima pils to balance all the bread. Slightly better than a Bud. Sorry if I drag down the ratings. Not my thing.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2012 Bottled August 8 and tasted October 20. Pretty beer, nice head, perfectly clear amber color. Aroma of sweet malt, taste is more of the same with perfectly balanced hopping. Much less hoppy than SABL of course, but this is a very fine example of a Vienna. If you want a beer with some character but donít like an overdose of hops, this is a great beer for you.
Had it a couple of times on draft .... OK for a Vienna, but light most of the way around.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice lager with hints of pine and pours from the bottle with a small off white head. Smooth transition through the different flavors with an aftertaste that hangs around until the next sip. Good lager
