Aromas of toast, apple butter, and toffee. Clear, dark gold, with low retaining white head. Toasty, nutty, and dry, with prevalent, tannic, hop bitterness. Light-medium body, decent carbonation, finishes with clean, dry malty tones.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This bottle BONED 05.29.14. Nose toasty with grain that’s starting to turn, lightly sweet malt and faint nuts and smoke -- a lot more intensity of aroma than is normal for style. Clear, deep copper-orange with a sudsy beige head. Taste sweet but not cloying, a really nice maltiness with broadly rich flavor, toasted grain and sticky malt with honey and hints of raisin (!) in the bg, slight caramel and nuttiness, a little more yeast/grain in the finish. Hops contribute a but of citrus up the middle but little bitterness. Dries out slightly, fullish body, clean with no alcohol, extremely moreish!

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Appearance: It has a nice transparent brown body with orange hues. The head is a creamy white cap that fades to a ring and a center island but leaves no lacing on the glass.
Aroma: Not much of a nose. I get a light presence of malt but that is all.
Taste: It has an extremely mellow taste. It has a slight walnut flavor. There is no real aftertaste. It is very watered down.
Palate: The palate is nice and smooth and very light.
Overall: It doesn’t have a lot of flavor or aroma so there isn’t much to really say about this beer. It’s not a bad beer it just isn’t elevated enough. I wouldn’t drink it again and I honestly wouldn’t recommend it, but it’s enjoyable enough to finish off the glass without a problem.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Stumbled across this in Virginia on a roadtrip through the Shenandoah Valley, glad I did!
On draft, pours a solid amber color with decent lacing. Smells fresh and malty, hint of sweet caramel malt. Taste is caramel malt, some grainy notes, some bitterness for balance. Finishes clean with some cool bitterness, very pleasant. Seems to be comfortably sessionable also. A well done example of the style, recommended!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was basically a light to hazy red color with a slight hazy orange tints around the edges. The head was there but less than a finger’s worth and it dissipated within about a minute. There was barely any lacing along the sides.
The smell had a roasty nutty to caramel maltiness with a light underscore of toffee.
The taste followed the aroma pretty much right on spot.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was pretty smooth. There’s a nice sweet malty aftertaste leading to a dry sweet malty finish.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good Vienna Lager, uh oh Sam Adams, if this one gets out further than its normal distro, your Boston lager could have a run for its money.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Transfer from BA review on 9-14-12-
Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a deep amber color with a big billowy white head. The head has huge carbonation bubbles entrapped within which pop rather quickly to give a head that recedes fast to give only a very light level of lacing.
Smell – The smell is rather light with some notes of roasted malt and a very light caramel smell.
Taste – A dry roasted malt flavor meets the tongue. This flavor is then present throughout the whole of the taste. While overall dry up front, there is a very light sweetness. The sweetness fades over the taste experience while a light herbal hop taste enters the taste. In the end the roasted malt and light hop flavors give a nice dry and crisp flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – A rather thin body with a good level of carbonation. Very fitting for the style and it makes for one refreshing and easy drinking brew.
Overall – While rather simple in its flavors, it is quite delicious and refreshing. A fantastic session brew.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear amber with a thick buff head. Crisp, malty aroma has subtle fruity notes. Flavor is a little more fruity than malty, a bit cider-like, with a whisper of hops. Firm texture is fairly fizzy. Vienna waits for you.
