UPDATED: MAR 31, 2012 Served on draft as part of a sampler at the brewery. Pours a copper color with a small head and moderate head retention and lacing. The aroma is full of toasted malts with some fruity notes. Taste is toasted malts with some fruity notes and nicely balanced bitter hops. Medium bodied. Maybe the best vienna lager I have ever had. Bravo.

I have had this numerous times over the years and I have always been very pleased by it. Rerating it because even the old score (3.8) doesn’t do it justice.

Bottle... Clear golden pour with copper glimmers and a tiny, fleeting, white head. I can’t pull anything from the aroma other than a malty, toasty note. Medium-bodied and thin with lively carbonation. The flavor is excellently balanced, but it’s also the dictionary definition of “mundane.” Crisp, clean, watery finish. Goes well with Mexican food. This brew pours a clear copper color with a thin and fizzy white head that evaporates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, hay and honey. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, molasses and nuts. The finish is sweet with a roasted malt and grass aftertaste. Decent overall.
