UPDATED: DEC 1, 2012 Bottled August 8 and tasted October 20. Pretty beer, nice head, perfectly clear amber color. Aroma of sweet malt, taste is more of the same with perfectly balanced hopping. Much less hoppy than SABL of course, but this is a very fine example of a Vienna. If you want a beer with some character but don’t like an overdose of hops, this is a great beer for you. Had it a couple of times on draft .... OK for a Vienna, but light most of the way around.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a white head. Aroma of bread, caramel, and malt. Taste follows nose. A little nutty. Mild hops bitterness. Not bad.

I enjoy beer. I like trying new beers whenever possible. I think that most of the reviews have the tone of someone more concerned with impressing beer snobs than giving an objective opinion about the beer. (I will post the same comment with every review) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Lactic caramel malt and hay aroma. Amber with large light tan head. Sweet tangy creamy caramel malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Pretty good.

Not sure how this won so many. However, I am guessing maybe age was the problem here? Aroma is metallic and light grain. Flavor is metallic and honey and light grain. Thin fast fading head. Was served cold out of a bottle dated 6 months. pass.

APPEARANCE- very light and practically see-through, even though the color is a nice caramel. Head is here & gone. NOSE- leaves me wondering what’s in the glass. FLAVOR- slight bit of malt comes through, and some of the flavor i expect for a vienna lager, but not much else. Fairly bland.

12 oz bottle. Clear amber with a bone head. Nose is apple juice, grain and lemon pith; pleasant if subtle. Medium body with a tingle. Taste is light caramel, grain and grass. Easy going. A sixer would be perfect at a Mexican BYOB.

Soft carbonation with slick mouthfeel. Taste is bready with hints of caramel but has undertones of tart and sour. Pretty enjoyable and easy to drink. Im more of a hop head but this was still pretty good!

12 oz. bottle with no date info found even after being told by DB that this is on the bottleneck. Tulip glass A: Beautiful pour. Clear copper color with a short lasting head and patchy lacing. Few visible bubbles. S: Malty with toffee and nut aromas. Moist brown bread. T: Taste is also malty as expected with toasted nut and a bit of caramel sweetness. Also tastes watery. M: Light body and below average (flat) carbonation does not excite the tongue IMO. Slight lingering sweetness but it is not cloying. O: Been intending to try this for a while. Now I know it’s just a mediocre amber lager. Watery malt taste and always expensive. OK but not impressed. Points off too for shitty (non-existent) date coding.
