Crisp golden coloured body with a ton of bubbles rising from the bottom and sides with a thin, fast-dying white head. Aroma of pale malt, some light pear and apple sweetness and a very mild malt nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Subdued malt flavours at first with a more effervescent and tingly sweetness and crisp herbal flavour coming through. Aftertaste is light and airy with some fruits, a little grass and a hint of yeast. Overall, somewhat reminiscent of an italian or french sparkling wine, but a little dry and not showing enough conviction to even be a decent beer. I’m happy to have sampled it, but glad I didn’t fly home with this one! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on 28-December-2013 for US$11.99 sampled with friends on New Year’s Eve 2013 in Orlando, Florida.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Bubbly medium golden pour, with a lively white head. Aroma features prominent apple and cereal notes. Flavours of brewers cereal and sweet cidery apples. Lively carbo. We were not impressed.

Sweet, green apple, no cascading bubbles, bits of mineral, lightly metallic, fine white foam, deep golden, medium high effervescence. Slightly peppery finish. Probably more effervescence and more sparkling activity with higher abv and dryness?

Elegant bottle. Pours with a clear yellow hued body and a white head. Aromas are of DMS, plastic, sulfur, doughy bread, soap and medium esters. Flavors are strongly of DMS, slightly oily, low esters, strong vegital and straw like malt. Lively carbonation and medium bodied.

750ml bottle, thanks to DanielCoor for sharing. Clear golden color. Thin white head, some loose, but good lace. Doughy, bready aroma. Baked apple, light spice. Medium to bigger body. Lighter, crisp carbonation. Light pear. Sweeter taste, in the way that a pear is sweet.. Light bitter. Light spicy bite. Decent, apply/pear belgian ale.

750 ml bottle to snifter. Looks solid; a transparent gold with thin white lacing. Smells and tastes of apples and dough. Average on the palate with very soft carbonation. Soft.

A bottle from Craft Beer Base. The fact that this was made with champagne yeast really shines through. It has champagne’s light carbonation and mouthfeel & a sweet fruity flavor like a nice bottle of bubbly. Incredibly easy to drink, the label says it all "A true feast for the senses with it’s rich straw-like appearance and aromatic, fruity nose. This celebratory beer has a crisp, sweet flavor with a strong dry, effervescent finish." Devil’s Canyon really nailed it as I picked up on most of that. A great beer to celebrate a special occasion, also excellent for people who don’t like beer. Kind of a beer-champagne hybrid which will have some people saying "Was that a beer?"

750ml Bottle. The pour was a sparkling clear pale yellow with a small (less than 1 finger) white fizzy head that diminished in a matter of seconds, and had virtually no lacing at all. The aroma was of a light grain malt, mild grassy hops and a musty horse blanket yeast with notes of citrus (lemon) and green apple. www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews The taste was a tad sweet and lightly grainy with a good fruity presence early on, becoming a bit yeasty and very lightly bitter with a hint of citrus and a funky fruity ending. The flavor lasted a very short time proceeding the swallow, with a funky fruity grain aftertaste lingering on for a short while longer. Mouthfeel was extremely light in body and watery in texture with a strong fizzy champagne like carbonation. Overall I found this to be a very interesting style of beer. It is a lot like a fizzy light ale, but not, with a nice fruity undertone. I am not a big fan of Champagne, so this is a perfect sustitute to have on hand for those holiday toasts.. www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews
