3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours copper with a large head. Nose shows grassy, piny hops along with faint apple characters. Some spicy rye too. Pretty aggressive flavours. Lots of grapefruit and pine but little else to liven things ups. Not much malt, but some toasty, spicy rye.

Rating #915 - 473mL Can from Coop - January 15, 2014 - Clear amber pour with a bubbly white head. Poured 2 oz for visual but consuming rest from can because well, I fuckin’ feel like it. Head recedes to ring. Aroma is sweet and grassy (distinctive rye malt aroma) as well as light citrus, light pine. Palate is austere, grassy, very much layered with dry hop bitterness. Nice notes of caramel malt, lemon, and pine. A little balanced heavily to the bitter side for my taste, but a solid IPA overall.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at the brewhouse. A really nice clean and crisp IPA. A light brown shine to it, that is really easy drinking.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fruity, nutty rye spice, caramel malts, bitter peels, mild hops, astringent. Not overly hoppy and the rye notes were a nice touch. Maybe needs a bit more smoothing out of the alcohol but overall not your run-of-the-mill pine and citrus IPA... I enjoyed it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at brewery. Malt and alcohol overshadow hop in the nose. Hazy amber body. Sweet malt up front on flavor. Somewhat astringent. Better as your palate adjusts.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can. Pours a clear reddish orange amber color with a small cream colored head. Nose is sweet caramel and fruit. Taste is bitter, but not full of any real flavor. Well balanced but no knockout , much better IPAs than this abound. Finishes on more of a sweet malty caramel flavor. Ah... quaff score 5 / 10 ( hardly my definition of an IPA )

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear darker amber orange with a beige head and sweet aroma of fruits and caramel. Taste is of hops, caramel, toasty malt, and bread notes, while well balanced leading to a slight bitter, toasty finish. Could use more good flavor
