3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, light to moderate orange peel for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with date and a hint of sulfur. Head is average size, frothy, light beige with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is clear light mahogany. Flavor starts slightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately to heavily bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a lively carbonation. Darker than most other IPAs, and a little maltier too, but the bitter bite brings it to the style.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours copper with a large head. Nose shows grassy, piny hops along with faint apple characters. Some spicy rye too. Pretty aggressive flavours. Lots of grapefruit and pine but little else to liven things ups. Not much malt, but some toasty, spicy rye.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rating #915 - 473mL Can from Coop - January 15, 2014 - Clear amber pour with a bubbly white head. Poured 2 oz for visual but consuming rest from can because well, I fuckin’ feel like it. Head recedes to ring. Aroma is sweet and grassy (distinctive rye malt aroma) as well as light citrus, light pine. Palate is austere, grassy, very much layered with dry hop bitterness. Nice notes of caramel malt, lemon, and pine. A little balanced heavily to the bitter side for my taste, but a solid IPA overall.

Sampled at the brewhouse. A really nice clean and crisp IPA. A light brown shine to it, that is really easy drinking.
