Condensed review: ----- Appearance. Full Boar has a deep dark amber color with a tan-colored head remained which didn’t last long. ----- Smell. This beer has a very dark malty aroma with a nice strong roasty sensation. ----- Taste. Full Boar has a warm roasted flavor and with a hint of toasted malts. It is very malty and slightly sweetFull Boar has a great Scotch ale taste. ----- Mouthfeel. A creamy sensation from the carbonation manifests nicely as a medium-bodied beer that is full of flavor. ----- Drinkability. This is a pleasant and easy to drink scotch ale that gives you a nice warm feeling on a chilly evening. ----- Full review: http://beer47.com/2009/02/devils-canyon-f type: on-tap

"eh. this was ok. it initialy had too much of that lemony astringency that some scotch ales can have in the nose and flavor. i’d have scored this lower, but it faded as the beer warmed. what was left was a slightly too light, but pleasant smokey, peatym fruity malt beer. ok, but subpar for the style."
