Cask (gravity filled jug) @ Smithfield Hotel & Bar, Manchester M4, UK. Clear medium amber orange color with a small, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, roasted, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. Cask, Dyke’s End, Reach, Cambridgeshire. Orange amber with a white halo. Heady fruit aroma suggesting a considerably stronger beer; yeast and alcohol-drowned passion fruit, lemon and orange citrus. There’s some decent hops in there. Toffeeish malts, orange barley sweets, apple peel yeastiness, drying finish faint with biscuit. Oddly heady fermented fruit, almost barley wine notes at the ABV. Rustic.

Cask Stillage from the jug at the Smithfield Hotel, Manchester 17/01/2007 Some fruit aroma. Golden coloured and hazy with some fruit flavour. Slightly bitter dry malt finish.
