Cask-conditioned at the Green Man, Bristol 26/09/10. Dark brown, with hints of red and a slight, tan head. Aroma of bitter chocolate and dark fruits with a touch of roastiness. Easy drinking, chocolate flavour with more roasted malts and a dryish finish. Good stuff.

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Banbury BF 2011. A black beer with a tan coloured head. A bit vinegary and off-putting in the nose. Sweet tones. Chocolate and fruits in the mouth with lactic notes. The nose is off-putting but it’s drinkable really. A mish mash.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’11. Dark brown with off white head. Heavy, quite sweetish porter, certainly some chocolate flavours along with a plummy, fruity note. Roasty drying elements show through. Reasonable enough.
