Nice copper color with a creamy head. It is a rich pleasant ale perfectly balanced between soft toffee and caramel notes and a floral-hoppy bitterness. It has a semi-dry finish with subtle coffee notes. Malt: 2 row, 6 row, chocolate, Caramel Hops: Perles, Cascade, Magnum

Bottle from bhensonb. Pours amber with an attractive off-white head and a nondescript aroma. There is a light toffee flavor with a bit of chocolate and a carbonated finish.

Bottle in a mixed case from the Woodland CostCo. Pours amber/copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma is mildly hoppy, somewhat toffee. Med minus body. It is somewhat hoppy, and toffee. Bitter toffee flavor, finishing towards dry. If ya gotta make an amber, bitter is the way to go!

12oz bottle poured in to porter glass. Overall dark color, nice carmel smell however taste not quit there with a bitterness that finishes disappointing overall. Found that this Brewers Pale Ale is a better amber/brown ale than this "Amber Ale"

Easy drinking. Tastes more like a marzen or something than an amber, but that’s what you get when you name a style after a color. Light barley finish. Dark amber with decent head and lacing. Not huge in the way of aroma or anything, but easy to drink. Bottle.

Bottle. Metallic caramel malt aroma. Dark amber with small head. Slightly sweet toffee malt flavor. Metallic aftertaste. Bland and what flavors are present are unpleasant.

Bottle: Pours clear, deep amber with a tight, off-white head. Caramel, toasted grain aroma. Flavour is caramel malt, metals, a bit of leafy bitter. Really not too bad....mild.....the bittering gets pretty decent at the finish.

11.2 oz bottle pours a clear dark mahogany with large off-white lead that leaves some lacing. Aroma is full of toffee and grains. Taste is sweet and malty, with a slightly hoppy and metallic finish. Body is medium with average carbonation. This is the 4th brew and my favorite from this brewery. Not bad at all. Since my local Walgreen’s has a closeout sale on Dia de los Muertos beers ($4.49/six pack) I’ll pick up more of these and pass on their porter, pale ale, and blonde ale.

355ml twist off. Amber pour. Smells like a freezer burnt walmart ice cream sandwich. Falvor has light smoke, caramel, vegetal hops, slight bitterness, mint, metal. Not great.

Better head. Same great graphic. Dark amber. Thin toffee in a moderate malt scent. A little burnt. Starts towards metallic, flows smooth and gets the metal back in the finish. Burnt toffee gives it a bit of a Skor bar taste. Sweet enough but flavour gets tougher and dirtier as you go. Stop worrying about need for more hops and less metal, instead looking for a drain. But then the next sip says maybe you can finish.
