COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nice copper color with a creamy head. It is a rich pleasant ale perfectly balanced between soft toffee and caramel notes and a floral-hoppy bitterness. It has a semi-dry finish with subtle coffee notes. Malt: 2 row, 6 row, chocolate, Caramel Hops: Perles, Cascade, Magnum

Bottle. Brown with a small head. Quite poerful with low carbonation. Some maltiness. Weird but interesting taste.

Pours hazy amber with a small head. Nose shows bready and nutty malt, as well as some brown sugar. Flavours include more brown sugar, toasty malt, a bit of a nutty note.

33cl bottle. Almost clear dark amber colour with a off-white head. Caramel, toffee and citric aroma. Average carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is sweet with some bitterness towards the finish. Overall, drinkable.

Pours amber clear, big tan head, nice lacing. Nose of different malts and caramel with some dried fruit and toffee notes and hints of herbs/spice. Taste is sweetish with very light bitterness following suit. Nice smooth palate, medium round body. A well balanced amber ale, definitely underrated.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2016 330ml bottle. Clear dark amber colour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, slightly cardboardy. Taste is sorely lacking, some weak malty notes, bread, a herbally hop bitterness. Strange mouthfeel, seems to foam up from the heavy carbonation, gets better as it warms up though. Hmm... disappointing, bland... certainly not as good as their other beers.

330ml. Golden in colour with a thin head of pale, off-white bubbles. Aroma of red berries, hops, and straw. Unfortunately lacking in taste, the flavour is of light hops and a hint of butter. The aftertaste is slightly bitter and buttery.

Jan. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle from Prosi Exotic supermarket, Vienna. It poured lightly hazy amber brownish body with a tiny head. Caramel and some dogfood in aroma. Dusty. Flavor was bitter herbal and lemon hoppy with toasted caramel malt counterpart. Medium body with quite a long herbal bitter finish with toasted malt, especially caramel malt base. Okay, but I somehow naively expected a craft ale, not a macro gimmick. There are better, mass produced regular pale lagers around.

12oz bottles from Ales By Mail. Reddish brown, good head. Toffee malt aroma. Toffee flavour with hint of liquorice. Smooth with sweet aftertaste. Not world class but much better than the ratings suggest.
