Amber pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor have a lot of grain notes as well as some toasted malt and a bit of toffee. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonate.

Enjoyed at the Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas. Pours a light copper colour with a frothy off-white head and lots of thick creamy lacing. Mild fruity sweet nose that is well-balanced between hoppy grass and caramel malts. Creamy and wet mouthfeel with a little stickiness. Taste like the aromas. Fruity malts and grass combo, with some light roasted malts in the finish. An easy-drinking fruity amber ale.

330ml bottle. Poured a clear amber color with a small sized off white head. Just like the last one I had by them ... burnt grains. Toasiness and caramel in the tastes too.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a clear copper color with a medium, bubbly white head. The aroma contains mostly bread and nuts, with hints of caramel found as well. The taste is very bready with some mild sweetness. Some caramel remains in the flavor as well. Long bready aftertaste isn’t very agreeable. Light to medium in body, smooth texture, softer carbonation. I didn’t like this one.

This was a fantastic amber. Copper colored beer with an off-white head. Aromas of caramel and toffee. Tastes of caramel, earthy/woody/nutty flavors, some toffee, and toasted grains. Sweet nutty finish. Surprisingly refreshing to drink for the style and very smooth. This was great.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a bit hazy, deep orangish brown appearance with a thin light brown head. Kind of spicy, cream corn, lightly fruity, caramel, twangy aroma. Tangy, toasted malty, orange fruity, caramel, weird flavor. Pass.

Death Becomes You Amber Ale has a thick, creamy, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, red-brown appearance, and lot of solid lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, brown bread crust, some syrup, and standard beer, and the flavor is of sweet, sharp bread crust, standard beer, sweetness, whipped cream, and fairly strong hop bitterness, especially so in the after-taste. Mouthfeel is light to medium and a bit soft, and Death Becomes You finishes semi-dry, refreshing, and quaff-able. Overall, this is quite nice. RJT

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Crisp amber coloured body with a rich, three centimetre tall tan head - it really couldn’t look much better than this for the style. Aroma of alcohol, cardboard, light malt and a good amount of pear and other fruity sweetness. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive cardboardie malt flavour with a pungent medicinal and grainy flavour, some very light sweetness and not much else but some bitter aftertastes and a funky finish. Overall, a pretty poor beer, despite it looking nice, it doesn’t taste or finish well at all. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom [Eye St]) on 25-October-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home here in Washington on 05-November-2013.
