12oz bottle. Clear golden with good foam. Old school IPA nose with light caramel and dark orange. Taste is aggressively bitter with Chinook style hops, heavy body, chewy, nutty. Tastes fresh though. Not bad at all. Pretty sure these bottles all came from a Costco mixed case.

from Bier-Bienne - very hazy amber-orange beer with a moderate foam left; aroma of quince and marzipan, caramel; good malt backbone, pretty sweet, light mineral; some decent bitterness; light residual sweetness and more notes of ripe fruits and caramel

Bottle at Dos Caminos. Clear orange pour small head. Nose is piney hops and medicinal herbs. Tastes kind of medicine, pine, some sweet caramel malt, and very bitter. Boring palate.

BB 22 04 17. Poured a clear dark amber with a one-finger off-white dense frothy head that retained well and laced well. Carbonation high and coarse. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, a hint of pine resin and possible spices. taste initially of low to moderate sharp hops grapefruity bitterness followed by sweet malt then back to the sharp hops bitter aftertaste; lots of bitterness. Light body. Crisp and dry with a very bitter finish. Good for a Mexican beer but not a good traditional IPA as lacks the array of aroma and bitterness - just a lot of bitterness.

Bottle from Artisan Tap, Bedford. Dark gold, slightly murky. White grape, caramel malt, mastic, a hint of mango in the aroma. Taste is ultimately bitter with a gummy sweet note at the fore. Naked and slightly astringent bitterness in the finish. OK, yes, it’s slightly cheap and adjuncty but I do enjoy drinking it.

Pretty straightforward - good piney, fruity bitterness from (I guess) a cascade backbone. Regular American IPA - doesn’t try to push the boundaries. Goes down nicely. Great artwork.

Intensiv herb, gutes IPA
