Bottle from bhensonb. Pours orange amber with a thick white head and a light citrus aroma. There is a strange fruity pale malt flavor with a harsh bitter finish.

A cloudy amber colour with a tight white head that persisted from pouring to the bottom of the glass. Aromas of peaches, nectarine, pears and grapefruit, along with some herbal grassiness. The flavour is mellow and fruitful, elegant in its restraint but still well within style. Some healthy bitterness there and quite well balanced. A lovely drop but not an IPA to set the world afire... but I liked it.

bhensonb (12016) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 8, 2015
Bottle in a mixed case from the Woodland CostCo. Pours cloudy amber with a slight, transient beige head. Aroma is light fruity hop over caramel. Fruit sweet, sort of. Near full bodied. Flavor is fruit, and something like toffee. It’s bitter, and headed well towards dry. The flavor is hard for me to describe, but I thinking green plant life might do. Yet it is quite drinkable, just not what I’m used to. Maybe there’s a little diacetyl. Enough. Far from drain pour.

Cloudy light orange hue. Overly bitter, and not balanced out too well. Very small head which dissipates quickly. Even though I don’t care for it too much, I wish I would have stumbled across this when i was in mexico! Their lagers got old quickly!

Pours cloudy gold with fluffy white. Hops seem mostly for bitterness, light on aromas.

Holy smokes a beer from Mexico that isn’t the colour of dehydrated piss & doesn’t taste like sugary corn water. Pours a muddy orange into the glass with a thin slice of foam on top. Not as bad as some of the reviews below suggest. No, this isn’t a hop bomb, the balance stumbles like a street drunk, & there’s a rusty metallic finish that shouldn’t be there. But man, this is bitter, like really bitter. And if that’s your bag -- it is mine, sometimes -- than this is worth a try.

Bottle. A- Bready, caramel, malty, subtle citrus. A- Pale orange color, clear liquid, white head. T- Bready, caramel, bitter, malty, subtle citrus, grassy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bready finish. O- This thing had a head that ceased to fade until it was almost gone, and boy was it pillowy. The aroma was huge on the caramel and bread and the taste was about the same but fairly bitter. Not near as balanced or good as I’d like.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Clear amber body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of blood orange, grapefruit and boozy peach. Flavour of orange pith, marmalade and caramel. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. I’m surprised by its low RateBeer score - this is pretty good.
