Bottle to glass. Pours an average Amber color with fast dissipating head. Aroma is piney hops, kind of dank but with a hint of cat piss or vomit. Good and bad aromas. Hmmm. Taste is hoppy, but not gracefully. Not many defined flavors, very carbonated and bitter. Not a fan.

Live rate, so to speak. 330ml bottle from Brum Selfridges at a meagre 5.9%ABV. Peachy murk with a tight moussed white cap. Somewhat cloyingly honeyed aroma with a promising whiff of leaf beneath. Pleasant and a little spiky with the peach iced tea and lemon and honey throat sweet presence kept well in check by resiny pine, cedar, almost coffee bean citrus. Good spank of bitterness to finish. Hands down best Mexican IPA I’ve ever tasted. But it is the first.

Légèrement cuivrée carbo moyenne de fines bulles collet persistant. Aromes ananas caramélisé, sève Amertume un peu trop prononcée qui rompt l’équilibre.

Drank from bottle. Malty and hoppy. Not the best beer ever, but a drinkable ipa. Cool label.

Pretty bad. Pours a nice enough, clear and bright golden orange with a thick but porous yellowish head. The aroma is horrendous with a light chemical and soapy aroma, a bit medicinal. Sweet caramel malts but a skunky, chemical and offputting hop. Not good!

Bottle - Pours a cloudy, light orange with light carbonation. Aroma of sweet orange. Light flavors with some bitterness. OK for a beer south of the border.

Dull amber and bright with a dense and compact foam. Bitter grapefruit and tangelos on the nose with a sweet, sticky cumulative conserve note coming through. Massive bitterness of hops is raw and lasting on the palate. The fruit of the nose comes through to give it balance whilst underneath there is a honeyish malt base to keep it grounded. Good body with a cteamy to oily texture. At 5.9% ABV it has a bit of an alcohol kick. Nice length of supple, sweet citrusy fruits. Very solid drinking. I liked it! Very clear amber colour with sizeable white head. Very sweet malty aroma, with floral and grassy hop notes. The taste is not good. Initial malty ’hop soup’ sweetness but the bitterness is overly harsh and sharp and finishes cardboard like. Light bodied. Disappointing.

Originally rated on 9/10/14. Hazy golden orange color, one finger white head, with decent lace. Smell is of sweet honey malts, bread, citrus notes with some pine. Taste is bitter and citrusy, grapefruit, sweet malts mid palate, caramel in the finish. Low carbonation, medium body. Overall its not too bad.

Overall, not bad, not great. Piney, malty. Both ends of the spectrum stand out here. Not something I’d make a go-to, but not sad I tried it.

Copper looks, brief, thin white head. No lace. Medium body, a pleasant bitterness in the first few sips that never gets balanced by the rest of the citrusy notes. Not very complex. Not pretentious either. Would drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
