2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a dark orange-gold with a touch of red to it and a high, fine-grained, white head. Nose has a touch of tropical fruit and banana, but is very very light; it’s really hard to pick up much at all beyond a generic beery aroma. Sweet up front, with a tangerine/orange flavor to it; missing any spice component entirely, though there’s more tropical fruit on the mid-palate. Finish is very very quick, almost non-existent. It’s unoffensive, but there’s just not much to it.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tasted on 7/2/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal. Pours very lightly hazy burnt orange with an average, somewhat fizzy off-white head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is caramel malt forward with some candied orange peel, and traditional hefeweizen wheat aroma. The flavor is the same, this is a malt forward hefeweizen. The body is medium with average, fizzy carbonation and a medium wheaty, malty banana finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at a Mexican restaurant in Denver, the name of which I cannot remember. Pours hazy yellow as expected with a fluffy white head. Aroma of clove and banana, sweet wheaty malts, honey, maybe some pear. Flavor follows as expected with nice banana and clove notes, honey sweetness, and a relatively clean finish. Body is light with medium plus carbonation. Very easy drinking. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, 330ml. Pours a hazy amber colour with a crispy offwhite head that recedes in a few seconds. Aroma has a pleasant smoked character, with hints of banana, clove, doughy yeast, vanilla and spices. Smooth and easy. Extremely drinkable, with earthy undertones and a pleasant bitter finish. What more can you ask from a hefeweizen?
