wedgie9 (2631) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 3, 2014
Tasted on 7/2/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal. Pours very lightly hazy burnt orange with an average, somewhat fizzy off-white head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is caramel malt forward with some candied orange peel, and traditional hefeweizen wheat aroma. The flavor is the same, this is a malt forward hefeweizen. The body is medium with average, fizzy carbonation and a medium wheaty, malty banana finish.

Bottle, pours dark red-brown, gassy yet headless, not much aroma, palate is sweetish with a little toffee and red fruit. Bit dull.

Bottle. Orange and slightly cloudy.Wheaty flavour. Not an unpleasant taste just pretty boring and uninspiring. Finishing it off was a bit of a task.

BeardedAvenger (193) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2016
Bottle at Vue, Shepherd’s Bush. Sold as part of FrightFest event. Sweet is the operative word - both in terms of oroma and taste. Honey, with a bitterness and the alcohol in the background. Medium bodied and soft. Looks good - amber with a frothy head. Enjoyable enough but just overly sweet and industrial.

Davros (2773) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 22, 2016
Pours amber with a small head. Nose shows soft banana and clove, a bit of sweet bready malt and faint caramel. Flavours include more bready malt, caramel and sultana notes along with soft banana.

33cl bottle. Hazy light amber colour with a nice white head. Banana, earthy and spicy aroma. Average carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is light sweet with fruity and caramel notes and a more bitter finish. Overall, drinkable but not remarkable.

Pronounced babyfood banana aroma, lesser bread notes. Cloudy amber, thin head. Bready peach and banana, subtle caramel. Pear finish. Full body, moderate carbonation, alcohol evident. More German authenticity than expected.

WaddlingPlatypus (128) - Durham, ENGLAND - JUL 13, 2016
330ml bottle. Cloudy pale yellow pour with a pale vanishing head. Aroma of haylage and sweet banana bread. Flavours of faint haylage and wheaty bread.

Bannanas on the nose with its cloudy colour made this look promising. But unfortunately it tastes like a watered down version of the superior German versions. By no means terrible but its not great either.

BeerdedDave (1351) - Beckley, USA - MAY 16, 2016
cloudy amber color; musty, earthy aroma; odd caramel malty flavor with fruit notes and wheat malt; I did not detect any banana-clove notes of a hefeweizen yeast

will repeat rating. a nice brew with good moderate finish and fuller body that is not frothy. pleasant flavors of banana and light spice without the need for a malt that announces itself. instead there is a alcohol kick which suffices marvelously. somebody in Mexico knows how to make a really good Hefe!
