3/17/15 (Bottle) Nice solid dark brown pour, no head, mild carbonation. Very pleasant coffee aroma, as well as coffee and malt.Roasted malt and chocolate are prevalent while drinking, a nice beer that is somewhat sweet and a bit harsh. Full flavor and texture, carbonation prevalent, nice feel and kick. Overall good offering.

Bottle from Mitsuya’s Liquor in Asagaya. Burned coffee, leather and cocoa powder aromas present. Thin body and watery mouthfeel. Tastes fairly bittersweet. Slightly astringent finish. Not terrible, but not a solid porter either.

Lukaduke (2469) - Portland, Maine, USA - MAR 14, 2015
Pours a deep burnt umber with a finger of khaki foam. Nose is roasty with layers of cocoa and wet dough. Palate is thin and one dimensional. Pretty straight forward with a malty cocoa body and a thin finish that lingers with some bubbles.

Bottle from cellarbrations superstore in hami hill. Pours pitch black with a thin ring of head. Carbonation a is Mild and body is fairly light and watery. Aroma is strong coffee notes with an underlying hint of cacao. Chocolate is another bold character with slight caramel and toffee. Taste is much like the aroma. Taste begins with a slight zip from the gas. That then develops quickly into vanilla which then moves onto chocolate and cacao. Finish is quite dry with a nice coffee bitterness right at the end of the palate. Quite delicious!

Bottle from Bon Vivant companion. Appearance - opaque black with a fawn head Nose - coffee and smoke. Slightly savoury even beefy. Taste - creamy coffee, savoury again. Then chocolate again. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. A bit thin for the style though. Overall - so so. Lacking high notes though.

Bottle from Dano. Aroma chocolate, toffee, light pasteurised. Very dark colour. Taste is very watery, mild, only light chocolatey roasted flavours. Very drinkable. Yet very euro beery.

Sweet, chocolatey, fudgey, a nice porter if really on the sweet side. Could be a Caribbean stout. Muddy light brown.

Bottle: Pours black....with a small, dark tan head. Chocolate, mild licorice aroma. Taste is flat cola, cocoa. A little watery....a bit plain.... Taste is pretty good, though a little diluted.

[Bottle] Pours a deep brown color with a very small amount of head on top. Roasted malt in the aroma. Flavors include lots of licorice, roasted grains, ash, tobacco and sweet chocolate. Thin body takes away from the flavors here. There are also some artificial sweetener notes that I wasn’t a fan of.
