Black body, no head. Fizzy after pour (like cola) but the carbonation dissipates quickly. Nice malty aroma but quite mild. Taste is also a bit weak. Mouthfeel is nice and smooth. Decent porter.

KyotoLefty (6139) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUL 2, 2014
Bottle. Nice, creamy chocolate nose. Quite appealing. Flavor of chocolate and coffee, less appealing than the nose. Body quite thin. Toasted bread. Decent enough. Best beer I have had from these guys so far.

rollinsr (365) - Atlanta, GEORGIA - JUN 29, 2014
Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted nuts. Flavor is slightly roasted malt but is severely lacking. Any interesting flavors that may be there vanish before they have time to sit on the palate.

maekchu (1943) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUN 26, 2014
Bottle from Sugaya. Nose of chocolate, light roastiness, and a touch of mild coffee. Dark brown with translucent edges. Thin dark roast, light chocolate, a very mild dark fruit. Thin-medium body, and quite watery. Okay. Aroma is fine, but a bit too light in flavors (like many of the beers from this brewery).

Bottle. This is a thin and flimsy porter. A little bit of roasting and a faint wisp of hopping. Not much here.

Pours black with tan head. Smell is milky roasty malt. A bit sweet and buttery. Taste is cardboard, roast malt, butter. Not a good porter. Medium body and carbonation, but the buttered cardboard reigns supreme! Their hefeweizen was actually good...this is drain-o.
