Weak roasted malt aroma with some coffee notes mixed in. Midnight black in color and a creamy head. Tasty roasted malt and bitter dark chocolate aftertaste. Slight creamy Guinness like mouthfeel. Overall, solid...

12oz bottle shared. Pours dark brown with mocha head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is decent enough you get some chocolate, roasted malts hints of molasses and ash. Flavor is disappointing very thin mouth feel mild cocoa and ash. Mild sweetness. Overall just not a very good porter.

330ml bottle pours an opaque dark brown with small tan head which leaves only a little lacing. Aroma has cocoa, roasted malts, charred grains, and a bit of honey. Taste is sweet with a slightly sour finish. Body is light to medium without much carbonation. Enjoyable, but perhaps too watery for me to check out the next time I’m looking for a porter.

Rated on 7-31-2014 (Bottle) This beer forms a small tan head with a short retention, opaque dark brown body, very little carbonation observed, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is malty, chocolate, coffee, roasty, and cocoa. The flavor is sweet, malty, coffee, chocolate, and roasty. The mouthfeel is smooth, water and thin. This beer is light bodied. For a Porter, this beer’s texture is unusually thin and watery. The flavor left me not liking it enough to want it in the future.

Twist-off, 330ml bottle. Very dark. Smells of dark chocolate. Flavor of roast, hints of licorice, leather, with charred cereal. Very thin body. Finishes with the slightest notes of honey. (4235)

0.33l bottle. Dark brown body, light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa and a bit of dark berries. Taste of red berries, chocolate, cocoa and some grains. Nice porter, maybe a tiny bit too sour for what I like. Anyways I like it.

330ml brown bottle. Deep brown, head is creamy and light brown. Nose has sweet chocolate and mild roasted malts. Taste has semi sweet chocolate malts, light roast, grains. Very plain finish, thin, touch of grain and very mild roast. Body is thin. Overall pretty thin and not exciting.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2014 Floral bouquet. Dark brown color, with good head and minimal lacing. Nutty and caramel notes. The taste is a little underwhelming and flat at the finish. Plenty of carbonation, but a little sharp in the mouth.

330ml bottle pours almost black in color with a finger of light brown head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate with hints of coffee and dark fruits. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with some raisin notes and a light coffee bitterness. Light to medium bodied with decent carbonation. A pleasant easy drinking porter that is quite enjoyable. Recommended.
