2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
330ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Hardly detectable aroma, a touch of grassy hop, somehow "malt", if not vegetable. Taste is doughy, yeast dough, subtle sweetness, hints of bitter and minimally piney hop in the finish. Not really felicitious.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle@Earl Ferrers, Streatham - amber pour with a puffy beige head. Aroma and taste of sweet malts, caramel, some toffee, grassy and some herbal spicy hoppy character to this. Ok.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
24th February 2014
Hazy deep red - amber beer with a small cream coloured head. Palate is smooth, airy and a little dry. Fine carbonation. Smooth dry malt with a touch of paper and a mild caramel steak. Mellow ripe orange underneath. Dry finish. Too malty but inoffensive.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
330 ml bottle from Evergreen Discount into a pint glass. Amber and clear appearance with a light tan head and thick lacing. Dull aroma of toasted malts, caramel and stale hops. Similar flavor, malty and metallic with some off-notes and an unpleasant, lasting finish. Average body with a creamy feel. Not too good, more of an "amber ale" really

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
The label is probably the most appealing aspect of this beer. The bitterness is about right for an APA, but it’s all on the back end. Up front you will find only toffee and caramel. And a bit of metal.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark amber-copper pour. Tan head. Aroma is sweet, lots of caramel. Light body with a sweet flavor. Caramel continues with a sugary finish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle. Amber in color, with thick foamy head. Has and odd herbal nose with some musty corn. Flavor follow the nose unfortunately. Mostly the strange herbalness up front with the caramel malt and some bitterness. No reason to go out of your way to track this down.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml. Clear copper with a lasting topping of spongy foam. Aroma of spicy and crisp apple, earthy toffee, and a light touch of fresh citrus. Tastes of toasted malt, orange toffee, earthy tea leaf, lightly tart apple, wood and evergreen resin. Light-medium body is too fizzy, but has a nice balance. Tastes like an ESB and is pretty drinkable except for the over-carbonation.
