2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml brown bottle. Dark gold pour, clear, minimal white head. Nose has big caramel sweetness. Taste has caramel malts. Thin and one dimensional. Not great.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, twist-off, 11.2 oz, best before 101714. Nose faintly malt, sweet with hopcit and stronger dough. Pours a very dark, deep red that’s really a murky brown, a dense beige head. Taste a bit boozy for strength, caramel, cracker, earth or dark earthen toffee, hops are mostly the woodier, piny type with a light splash of citrus. Medium body. Clean, very traditional 90s/mid-2000s APA, or perhaps a darker version inspired by SNPA.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger of off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is cereal grains and caramel with some earthy tones. Taste is a grainy malty sweetness with a citrus and earthy bitterness. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. A little on the dark side for the style, and not quite up to par with Northwest Pale Ales.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Way too amber and malty for a pale ale. Not bad otherwise. Syrupy crystal malt profile.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
11.2 oz bottle from Spirits Manahawkin. Poured a nice looking bright rusty super deep orange with lots of rising effervescence and an average sized super thick creamy light beige head that leaves tons of lace down my New Belgium snifter. Aroma of caramel malts, dough, dirty Tootsie Roll, flower petals. Medium body, average to slightly stronger carbonation, average duration on the aftertaste. Flavor is a step back from the aroma, notes of bread, flower petals, dry citrus.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at home. Soft toasty malts, caramel, dry finish. Not really an APA, has the flavor profile of a Vienna lager.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is grain and light grass hop. Watery on tongue. Low gravity. Not a pale ale as much as a Mexican lager like beer. Nice lasting head. Disappointment.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours a slightly hazy darker orange color with white head. Malt, bread, and some fruit on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a lot malt.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Super malty pale ale from Los Muertos. Saw this recently in puerto Vallarta while on vacation. Not hoppy and pours deep orange.
