Bottle picked up at Hy Vee in South Sioux City, NE. Slightly murky orange pour with a fairly substantial white head and some lacing. Stale hop aroma with some tropical fruit. Cardboard. Taste is slightly bitter and not altogether pleasant.

[ As Dia De Los Muertos Pale Ale ].
Clear medium to dark orange amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, light nutty, light to light moderate hoppy, fruity hops, wood. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, woody hops, fruity, candy sweet, yeast notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140721]

taster @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark amber with a tan head cover, light streaks of lace. Taste is thin malt with noticeable hops entering in the early palate. Weak and watery overall - simple in an unflattering way. Not a keeper.

Bottle. Fairly dark amber pour with a small off-white head. Quite malty, lots of caramel, with a crisp hop edge. Nothing spectacular, but a pretty decent pale ale.

"Likely old, and incredibly boring. Don’t feel bad about slamming an old beer when it ain’t dated. This was utter crap. A drainpour that likely was not ever very good. Smells and tastes of wet cardboard, and even that is light."

330ml brown bottle. Dark gold pour, clear, minimal white head. Nose has big caramel sweetness. Taste has caramel malts. Thin and one dimensional. Not great.

Bottle, twist-off, 11.2 oz, best before 101714. Nose faintly malt, sweet with hopcit and stronger dough. Pours a very dark, deep red that’s really a murky brown, a dense beige head. Taste a bit boozy for strength, caramel, cracker, earth or dark earthen toffee, hops are mostly the woodier, piny type with a light splash of citrus. Medium body. Clean, very traditional 90s/mid-2000s APA, or perhaps a darker version inspired by SNPA.

330ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger of off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is cereal grains and caramel with some earthy tones. Taste is a grainy malty sweetness with a citrus and earthy bitterness. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. A little on the dark side for the style, and not quite up to par with Northwest Pale Ales.

Way too amber and malty for a pale ale. Not bad otherwise. Syrupy crystal malt profile.
