UPDATED: NOV 17, 2013 11.2 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, deep orange; nice creamy off-white head (actually it looks quite nice). Aroma of caramel, malts and some nice hops, a bit floral but OK. Taste is a bit spicy, caramel some hops, nice beer, easy to drink and perhaps not bad at all.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2016 Pours amber clear, medium tan head, nice lacing. Nose of malts and caramel with some fruity and resiny notes. Taste is fairly light and nicely balanced, with very light crispy bitterness on top. Wonderful smooth yet crispy palate. Extremely drinkable and delicately balanced, a thirst quencher with enough malty character to make me happy.

Extrem süß und wahnsinnig viel Karamell. Hopfen quasi nicht vorhanden. Sehr enttäuschend

Bottle. Pours in dark amber body, hazy, frothy medium white head. Aroma has strong caramel character, light oxidation. Taste has also a lot of caramel but some of it tastes like from oxidation, medium earthy bitterness in the after taste, hint of floral aroma, but pretty hidden in the background. Body is medium, high carbonation, easy drinkable even for the caramel present.

Bottle, 33cL. @Naintré. Kindly given by my dad. A dark sparkling amber beer with a big off-white foamy head ; ok retention. Caramel, roast, candied fruits (+), dried fruits (raisin, nuts), flower. Light sweet, quite round, light to medium dry bitter ; light warming background. Average body, watery texture, average to soft carbonation, sweet fruity dry finish. Overall, ok toffee pale ale ; a bit too strong on candied fruits and caramel.

12oz bottle from Ales by Mail. Reddish amber brown, reasonable head. Resin grain aroma. Perfumey caramel rye grain malt flavour. Bitter sweet aftertaste. Much better than that other ratings suggest.

Pours cloudy mahogany with low off-white head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, bread and light citrus. Taste is bland and weak bitter with a light bread sweet finish. Light, way too light, body with average carbonation.

Bottle. Deep dark murky red. Beige/dirt white head. Earthy and dirty taste and smell with caramel, bandaid and berries. Spritzy dry mouthfeel. Definitely a faulty product. Barely drinkable.

330ml bottle with another great label. Clear amber colour with a two finger off-white head, looks fantastic. Aroma is weak malt and hops, bready, bitter, hints of sweet fruit. Taste is unfortunately the same, rather bland weak malt and hops, cardboardy, woody, a touch of fruit. Mild bitter finish. More like a Bitter in style. Overall a bit disappointing after looking so good.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, hops, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.
