COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First, there were the teasers, the rascals and the mischief makers : real little devils. Eccentric to the very tip of their horns, the Diabolici® were born in a mash tub which they consider to be the most precious source in the world. To honour their origins, these jokers have brought out the secret recipe for their much loved liquid : a demonic beer in the image of their lively and quirky spirit. This artisanal beverage, the fruit of a jealously guarded ancestral recipe, has a thousand and one tricks up its sleeve : sometimes amusing, sometimes lively, it all depends ! Beware of appearances : even the most daring have their breath taken away by this beer. Today this beer has found recognition within the Finest Beer Selection®, which is perpetuating its spread. From one inn to the next, Diabolici is extolled throughout the year. Whoever drinks it will also be imbued with malice. Diabolici® asserts its Triple Blonde character of high fermentation and bottle refermentation. It contains 8% alc./vol. and continues to bear the name of its creators, who bewitch the minds of those who are merrily drinking it. This legendary elixir is worthy of a magical world and is a legacy of our popular mythology. Having been brewed since the beginning of time at the gates of hell, the exquisite Diabolici® is the familiar and impish companion of our festive evenings. It is to be sampled with mischievousness in its exclusive chalice glass ! A genuine moment of truly magical flavour and quality.

Bottle 75 cl. Golden, hazy with a medium white head. Hoppy and malty aroma with some banana and candy sence, well and almost wheaty aroma. The taste is bitter with a light sence of alc, banana ending. Quite spes taste, I like

Clear golden body with a huge, frothy, white head that laces my plastic cup well. Moderate aroma with sweet honey, candi sugar, spices and yeast. Very sweet taste with a light bitterness in the quite long-lasting, far too alcoholic aftertaste. Sugary sweet flavours with fruits, yeast, candi sugar and obvious alcohol. Nice oily texture, medium carbonation and medium to full body. A decent beer, but too sweet and too much alcohol.
[[75 cl bottle, shared with Rikke, Tor, Gunnvor, Anders and the Missus, enjoyed after the palate has taken some serious beating by several drinks and various BBQ dishes]

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy straw colour with a medium white and frothy head. The aroma is dominated by both fruity and berry sweetness, and with hay and something perfumy towards alcohol. In the flavour I find more of the typical belgian yeast fruityness along with some spices. Slick mouth feel, and light bitterness. A decent belgian strong ale, balanced, but nothing special.

Draft @ Delirium, thank goodness for the free sample, another proof that a cool label does not mean a good beer, yet another mediocre John Martin beer.

0.75 L corked bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Medium-sized foamy white head. Body is hazed pale golden. Sugar sweet malt aroma with hint of straw-like hops, mild spices end faint fruity belgo yeast. Taste is light sweet and quite one-dimensional. Sugar-sweetness, perfumed fruit-sweetness, and vague tones of peppery caramel and mild spices. Mid-bodied. Slick texture. Alcohol warmth in the ending.
