As for one appreciating brown ales, I loved this. Bought a growler of it. Nice dark color. Holds a nice head. Not too bitter. Smells simple. Nice carmel, light chocolate taste. Slightly nutty. I really enjoyed this.

12oz bottle 6/23/14 (Judicious Spirits-Single)-46° in Mug-Pours brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, and slight chocolate. Taste of malt, chocolate, and hops. This light to medium bodied brew is not bad but was expecting more . It is a bit light.

On tap. Creamy aroma with peanuts and some red fruit. Almost crystal clear orangish amber under an off-white, lacy ring. Delicate brown sugar and peanut flavour with a touch of raisin and tobacco and a gentle bitterness that is in balance with a dry finish. Medium light body, medium carbonation, clean finish.

Bottle from Guess Who? Deep chestnut pour with a tight off-white head. Roasted malts, toasted nuts. A bit of cocoa. Earthy and sweet. Smooth and pretty crisp. Sweet chocolate, a bit of mineral. A bit ashy. Clean finish. Active carbonation. Light body. Simple, decent.

Had in tap at Mellow Mushroom in Rogers. Pours a light brown. Thin to no head. Aroma is light caramel and slightly nutty. Slightly malty. Thin bodied. Finishes with slight sweetness. Good beer.

Aroma: Definitely nutty; pecans and a little almond. Has a bready quality, but reminds me of Chinese buffet sweet rolls. Appearance: Medium/dark filtered brown with a creamy tan head that settles into an ever-present tan skin. Flavor: A little more coffee-tasting along with the nuttiness; more almond than pecan. A light herbal bitterness closes the deal. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, lightly bitter finish. Overall: A respectable Dunkel-style beer that is well-crafted all around.
