3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Pigfoot (2267) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 2, 2005
Appearance: hazy orange hue, slight beige head.
aroma is caramel-y, herbal, amber-toned, a little spicy, very English version. green apples and some citrus.
Neat bite from hops up front, buzzing on the buds on the way down, then fading back. Medium bodied, faint finish, with fruit and spice riding through the flavor. Tasty, tasty...I can picture myself very happy if I had a fridge full of this. Downright drinkable, with persistent, pleasant flavor.
Very likable, and I must say Arkansas-ians should be tickled to have it.

Light copper and orage coloring. A dense medium sized head. Aroma of caramel and oranges. Lightly hopped. The taste is malty with a nice flowery hop presence. Delicate is the best way to describe the taste. Very nice. Much more subtle than APA’s. I have to thank my brother for bringing this one up to me.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 boto (1581) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - SEP 13, 2004
12 oz. bottle: This one pours a fairly clear amber color. There was about no head when it came out of the bottle. The aroma is somewhat piney hops, with some malt sweetness thrown in. The taste is somewhat malty sweet, with a bit of a piney light bitterness in the end. Just rates an OK. Thanks to jsquire for the bonus brew!

Bottle. A hazy amber color with a laced off-white head. A nicely hopped aroma, uncommon for the style. A solid malty based flavor with some grain/cereal elements and complimented by the rich hops. Most importantly, this is beer from Arkansas! Thanks jsquire for this bonus beer in our trade.

07.17.04 12oz bottle, trade from jsquire. Copperish amber color; smallish white head. Bready aromas, ripe grains, lightly nutty. Hints of earthy English hops. Nice, bright flavors for the style. When I cracked this one, I expected an APA and this was a sweet surprise. Nice showcase of malts this. Very quenching. Finishes with an earthy, grassy, tea flavor. Thanks, Jeff!

Penny copper color out of the bottle with a frothy white head. Malty grain nose with faint pine hops. Lots of bubble action in the glass and very carbonated on the palate. Very sweet beer with lots of caramel and white sugar. Sublte bitterness in the finish. Good with food. Maybe I’m not that familiar with english pale ales, but this just seems too subtle.
