This one pleasantly surprised me. Poured from a bottle. Honey orange color with little head and minimal lacing. Aroma is orange citrus and floral. Taste is citrusy with light clove. English malt flavor is subdued accompanied by mild hop bitterness. Overall, well balanced. Mouthfeel is moderate. Fairly smooth drinking - could easily be a session beer.

Clear amber color with lasting ivory head. Pine, citrus, honey malt aromas. ! Medium body. Muted pine hop flavors with a lightly sweet pale malt base brew____nicely drying finish---not bad.

Bottle from Guess Who? Deep orange pour with a modest white head. Big sticky caramel malt nose. Roasted malt, bread. Maybe some candied orange. The taste is similarly caramel-focussed. A bit of spicy hoppiness, leaf pile and tobacco. A touch of citrusy tang. Light body, active carbonation. This does nothing for me.

[Bottle] Caramel color with a large and soapy head. Grassy and herbal hop aroma. Moderately bitter taste includes tea leaves, grass and light skunk. Fizzy carbonation. Tasting notes from 11/2011.

Tap--- Hello Arkansas! Pours a light copper color with a small, off white head. Caramel and a slight hop aroma. Solid caramel and sweet flavors with a soft touch of hops. Medium body. Nice work and feel of an English Pale Ale. Cregeens Pub in North Little Rock.

Ugh. Pours with no head and a nice amber orange color. In fact, Id dare say the color is the only positive aspect of this brew. The taste is so off bitter I almost pucker, which ruins the more complex fruity flavors in the forefront. The after-taste is atrociously bitter. I gotta say though, this could be a good beer without the soapy bitterness at the end. Could do with a bit of a head! Whats to expect from a poorly labeled Arkansas craft brew?

Aroma: Actually pulls off an English Pale Ale pretty well- Light caramel, sweet grainy malts; some herbal and lemony hop notes. Cascade in this? I cant tell, personally so I imagine its a small amount. At 6.2%, this is a little amped up for the style. Appearance: Penny copper with a off-white head that settles into a lightly creamy skin. Flavor: Sweet grains with a touch of caramel; a bit more herbal than lemony (just a little Cascade in there); dries up very well. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, lightly bitter finish. Overall: Id drink this again, and would love to have it fresh at the brewery. Surprisingly well done, especially considering the IPA (Presidential) was nothing to write home about.

Bottle:   Dirty orangish amber, thin sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing.   Muted caramel malt aroma, a little dank and musty.   A touch bready.   Seems over the top already.   No real hop aspect.   Pale breadiness up front, a little caramel, every so slight wet cardboard.   No real bitterness.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Oh, now I see its an English Pale Ale... which might explain the assertive caramel malt profile, with low hop bitterness.   Seems okay, but does have a faint wet cardboard finish.   Still is a bit musty.   Decent, even if a little boring.   Could use a smidge more hop bitterness to balance it out a bit.

Clear amber under a thin white cap. Nose is nice and caramelly with a spicy floral hop tone. The flavor is very nice with a grassy and floral hop forward flavor, though with restrained bitterness, all of which is balanced by a lot of caramel and crystal malt. Semi bitter dry finish.
