A Medium Bodied Amber Colored Pale Ale. This beer is well balanced between the sweetness imparted by the roasted caramel malt and light bitterness imparted by the traditional English variety of hops. Typical of English Style Ales, it has light carbonation with a pleasant hoppy aroma.

This one pleasantly surprised me. Poured from a bottle. Honey orange color with little head and minimal lacing. Aroma is orange citrus and floral. Taste is citrusy with light clove. English malt flavor is subdued accompanied by mild hop bitterness. Overall, well balanced. Mouthfeel is moderate. Fairly smooth drinking - could easily be a session beer.

Ugh. Pours with no head and a nice amber orange color. In fact, Iíd dare say the color is the only positive aspect of this brew. The taste is so off bitter I almost pucker, which ruins the more complex fruity flavors in the forefront. The after-taste is atrociously bitter. I gotta say though, this could be a good beer without the soapy bitterness at the end. Could do with a bit of a head! Whatís to expect from a poorly labeled Arkansas craft brew?

Aroma: Actually pulls off an English Pale Ale pretty well- Light caramel, sweet grainy malts; some herbal and lemony hop notes. Cascade in this? I canít tell, personally so I imagine itís a small amount. At 6.2%, this is a little amped up for the style. Appearance: Penny copper with a off-white head that settles into a lightly creamy skin. Flavor: Sweet grains with a touch of caramel; a bit more herbal than lemony (just a little Cascade in there); dries up very well. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, lightly bitter finish. Overall: Iíd drink this again, and would love to have it fresh at the brewery. Surprisingly well done, especially considering the IPA (Presidential) was nothing to write home about.

Bottle:   Dirty orangish amber, thin sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing.   Muted caramel malt aroma, a little dank and musty.   A touch bready.   Seems over the top already.   No real hop aspect.   Pale breadiness up front, a little caramel, every so slight wet cardboard.   No real bitterness.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Oh, now I see its an English Pale Ale... which might explain the assertive caramel malt profile, with low hop bitterness.   Seems okay, but does have a faint wet cardboard finish.   Still is a bit musty.   Decent, even if a little boring.   Could use a smidge more hop bitterness to balance it out a bit.

Clear amber under a thin white cap. Nose is nice and caramelly with a spicy floral hop tone. The flavor is very nice with a grassy and floral hop forward flavor, though with restrained bitterness, all of which is balanced by a lot of caramel and crystal malt. Semi bitter dry finish.

Had at the Foam beer festival in Fayetteville Spring 2013. Slightly hoppy for a pale ale. Some caramel. Medium body. Decent.

Draft. Poured medium amber, nice off-white head. Solid English pale ale -- moderately malty, slightly spicy, earthy English hops. Surprised by how much I liked this. Want to try more DB when I head through Little Rock next.

Dark straw. Thin head. Starts sweet and malty then moves to grapefruit rind. Pretty standard pale ale with an extra dose if hops. Thanks Erin.

Aroma is slight. Pours a clear amber with hardy any head and no lacing. The taste is malty up front followed by graininess and a bitter finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, ok but nothing great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A - Pours a clear amber with a tight and frothy off-white head. S - Caramel and citrus hops fill the top of the glass. T - Herbal and citrus hops wrapped around a lightly sweetened caramel malt. The hops turn grassy and bitter toward the end. M - Medium body with creamy carbonation. Slightly acidic with a dry finish. An average English Pale Ale that drinks easy and finishes dry. The herbal hops could get in the way of this being session-able. Serving type: bottle 12-31-2011
