Poured bottle into goblet. Very, dark, opaque. Small head on pour. Smell: Powerful. Molasses. Toffee. Taste: Molasses under malt. Slight sweet at first, roasted... coffee? Wonderful Palate: Great. Smooth. Excellent. Could drink this all night long. Plenty of flavor and perfect balance. I need to find this on tap... probably even better that way.

Ruby brown color with light tan head. Chocolate malt, medium roast malt, mild coffee aromas. Medium body. Nice chocolate, nutty, dry roast, coffee, pale malt flavors____solid porter.

Bottle: Deep chestnut brown pour with a small tan head. Mild nose is roast and cocoa, continuing into the taste. The English porter influence is subtle and appreciated; good roast, cocoa, and a faint bittersweet to go along with a small amount of sour. Clean finish, but it does border on being chalky. Overall nicely done.

fiveacestx (538) - Texas, USA - JUN 16, 2014
Bottle - Pours black with a khaki head. Has a sour aroma and...while Iíve never consumed bong water, this beer has a bit of a marijuana aroma and taste. A little malty and a medium mouthfeel.

Bottle from Guess Who? Brown pour with a small off-white head. Chocolate malt. Dark roasted malts. A touch of vanilla, rootbeer float. Sweet brown sugar flavor with a slightly chalky finish. Roasted malt, mild bitterness. Nicely balanced. Nothing flashy, but decent.

12 oz. bottle. Pour is a deep dark blackish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is espresso and bitter chocolate. Taste is similar, starts out bitter with coffee and smooths out into some chocolatey sweetness and finishes pretty dry with a slight hop note. Decent porter.

[Bottle] Pours a very deep shade of brown. Little head. Roasted malts and light anise in the aroma. The taste is roasty, with chocolate and weak coffee notes. Earthy finish, with peat standing out. Very thin. I wish they body was a bit more robust; it would have made this beer much better. Tasting notes from 11/2011.

Clownoisseur (199) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - MAR 22, 2014
Bottle courtesy of Atom. Thanks so much!! Pours a dark brown with a thin khaki head. Not too much retention or lacing. Aromas of cocoa, faint roasted malts and light vanilla. Taste is faint/flat chocolates, with the same roasted nuttiness from the nose. Not a whole lot going on here, a bit flat, thin and watery across the backend. Was hoping for a bit more "paradise", but still very glad to have tried it!

Bottle, has sat around for a while, but fairly climate controlled at least. Pours dark ruby black, medium brown head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving decent lacing. Aroma is quite chocolatey, roast, ashtray. Flavor is medium sweet, chocolate, light bitter. Not bad at all, actually. Medium body, nice effort.

ContemplateBeer (1496) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 8, 2014
Aroma: Slightly sweet chocolate with just a touch of vanilla; roast comes out in equal proportion, but it seems astringent. Appearance: Opaque black with foamy tan head that settles into a thin film. Flavor: More astringent roast than chocolate; fairly dry and lightly earthy finish. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: Average porter with a couple good points here and there.
