Poured bottle into goblet. Very, dark, opaque. Small head on pour. Smell: Powerful. Molasses. Toffee. Taste: Molasses under malt. Slight sweet at first, roasted... coffee? Wonderful Palate: Great. Smooth. Excellent. Could drink this all night long. Plenty of flavor and perfect balance. I need to find this on tap... probably even better that way.

Bottle JStax shared on the RBSG bus. Decided to rate because hey, he mentioned it was an Arkansas tick. Marketing works.

Overall: Nothing offensive but a bit thin for a porter.

Pours a thin, slightly watered down look of a dark brown, light off white head. Some nice roasted nuts notes, slight coffee. More heavy on cola notes in the finish. Sharp carbonation and surprisingly thin body. Too thin. Not bad overall.

JStax (5039) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JUL 18, 2016
Bottle shared. The beer is a dark brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma has ash and dark chocolate. Some earthy sweetness comes through a bit and dries out in the finish. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Bottle on RBSG Bus. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and bready malt. Medium body, cocoa, roast, dry finish, ok.

chucklemation (1399) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - MAR 29, 2016
Pours a jet black with a thin white head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, toffee, cream, and fruity hops. Flavor is chocolate and toast, subtle fruit. Has a thin but creamy body. Drinks like an oatmeal stout, oddly. Pretty good.

Itís dark and pours dark with a pretty nice head to it. The aroma is very toasty or roasty if you will, and yet is not overpowering. The taste is complex but balanced. I canít quite pick out the flavors I taste. Mouthfeel is quite bold, but it is smooth. I only have one bottle, and yet I want more. Overall, a great beer,

"Big roasted malts and just a touch of hops. Maybe a little Smoke and coffee too. Aroma and taste just about identical. Dry and thin. Good but not great."

Bottle pour opaque dark brown with violet hues. Nose light roast, fall fruits, and some mineral. Taste lighter flavors for style, light roast, chocolate. Mid palate reasonable bitter that lasts until late. Roasty finish doesnít show up until very late.
