In celebration of the opening of the Clinton Presidential Library, Diamond Bear Brewing Company introduced its seasonal beer, Presidential IPA. This in beer terms is a "big beer" with lots of flavor. This India Pale Ale has a rich copper color and full body which delivers exceptional body, balanced by a high hop rate. This beer has great aroma with generous amounts of cascade hops to stimulate all of the senses. This is truly a beer fit for a head of state!

Pours a copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is fruity hops and caramel. Flavor is fruity hops, caramel, and something creamy. Has a surprisingly smooth body for an IPA, with low bitterness, and surprising balance. Pretty good.

Aroma...lots of caramel and toffee, citrus. Smells great!!!...Appearance is amber red. It pours with an amazing thick and frothy head. Very nice!!...Taste, yeah, we flopped a bit there. Itís hoppy and bittersweet but more so bitter. It has a noticeable citrus in the taste, and that might make it be a tad too bitter, but still tastes pretty good....Mouthfeel is medium, not too dry. It does have a filmy taste that lingers throughout, weird but not bad....Overall, itís really good. Better than what I expected. I wonder if Slick Willy himself tried it when the Clinton Library opened?

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle from BVery, poured into an English pint. Slightly hazy orange with small/medium beige head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, medium/light body, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel malt, bread, and some herbal hops. Fresher would probably bump this up a couple notches.

Bottle hunted down for me by my parents - thanks! Clear rich reddish orange pour with a smaller head. Stale hops, spice, bread, and some pine. Would like to try fresher.

"Cascade citrusy hops semi a little muted. More biscuity malt than I like bit not too bad. But the orange and grapefruit hop notes are subdued, making this an average iPa."

Bottle pour dark copper with brown to amber hue. Nose sweet malt, slight floral and dank hop. Taste moderate bitter up front, slightly spicy, mid palate a little flat and watered down. Moderate bitter finish.

Clear amber color with ivory head. Mild pine, floral, honey malt aromas. Medium body with average co2. Nice grainy malt sweet flavor with some pine hoppage___drying out to finish---not bad.

12 ounce bottle pours a orange copper color With lots of hop particles with a moderate white head that dissipates quickly. Nice citrus and piney aromas. Light bodied with high carbonation. Nice piney flavor but seems to end abruptly.

Bottle from Guess Who? Amber pour with a small head. The nose is pretty much non-existent. The absence of aroma. Some caramel and melon if Iím being charitable. The taste has some light pine and lemon hop accents. Strong caramelised orange. Caramel malt body. Medium body, soft carbonation. Tastes old. Still, worse than average for the style.

[Bottle] Pours a bright orange color with a large white head. Mildly hoppy aroma is grassy and citrusy. More maltiness than expected in the nose. Muddled caramel and citrus flavors abound. Not as thin as some of their other offerings. Hints of skunk and alcohol. Tasting notes from 11/2011.
