COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In celebration of the opening of the Clinton Presidential Library, Diamond Bear Brewing Company introduced its seasonal beer, Presidential IPA. This in beer terms is a "big beer" with lots of flavor. This India Pale Ale has a rich copper color and full body which delivers exceptional body, balanced by a high hop rate. This beer has great aroma with generous amounts of cascade hops to stimulate all of the senses. This is truly a beer fit for a head of state!

Excellent IPA. Full flavor, full bodied and enjoyable to drink. Nice subtle citrus notes and complexity that make this a really well done IPA. I also get a buttery flavor that was quite different than other IPAs. Drank it straight out of the bottle and enjoyed it.

poured a nice copper hue with a nice frothy white head that had good retention. Aroma had a pleasant pine note mix with a typical citrus note too it. There was a subtle almost grainy note to the aroma it was slightly offsetting but not significantly Flavor had a good hop profile and was fairly balanced out with sweet malt notes. Finish was full as was the palate.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2010 This beer came in my beer of the month club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright red-orange-amber color with a huge orange-tan head. The aroma was moderately strong grapefruit and pine. The flavor was strong with sweet grapefruit, orange and pine with a light floral hop presence and light nutty malts with a hint of cocoa. The finish was long, sweet and fruity. The body was fairly thick and full. Well done.

Odd nose with a light brown to amber color. Nice smooth flavor with a touch fo butterscotch and malt. Not as hoppy as most IPAs. The hops does come through on the aftertaste however leaving a lsightly prolonged aftertaste. Not bad at all.

Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. Clear red, off white head. Aroma is spice, pine, resin hops, caramel malt. Taste is the same, caramel forward, pine hop bitter finish.

Thanks to Charles for the bottle.. new state! Poured hazy, medium orangey-amber with a creamy, sticky cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweeter, deeper caramel and grapefruit upfront with herbal and floral hoppage around.. some spicy notes tickled the back of the nose. The flavor had grapefruit meat at the core with caramel more in the form of support.. mild bitterness surrounded in the form of earth and dark grapefruit.. peppery finish with some alcohol warmth. Medium-bodied with ideal medium carbonation, but this was tacky and cloying with a combination of excessive sweetness and bitterness on the back-end. Decent stuff.

12 oz bottle couresy of ericandersnavy. Thanks. Pours a translucent copper color with a big foamy off-white head. The nose is strong with caramel and some piney hops. The taste is simple biter piney hops, toffee and caramel. The mouthfeel is medium building to a malty conclusion. The finish is short, dry and biter.Overall: A very session-able IPA suitable for a hot sunny day. My first brew from Arkansas, hopefully many more to come. Thanks again Eric.

Bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy – my first from Arkansas – thanks Eric! Pours a hazy amber with a 2 finger creamy off-white head that results in decent lacing. The nose is sweet malt and light floral hops. The taste is caramel, light citrus and some resin in the finish that lingers for a bit. Medium bodied. Not bad, actually better than anticipated. Thanks again Eric!

Bottle from thickfreakness. Thanks Charles! Pours orange to amber with a lasting creamy white head. Smell is of caramel and faded hops. Taste is a bit better and has a grainy maltiness and grassy and bitter hay like hop flavor. Lingering bitterness. A bit simple, but not too bad of an IPA, really. Medium body and crisp carbonation. Decent.

Bottle from ericandersnavy... Poured into a snifter. Red with an ornage hue. Nice head. Decent aroma of malts and light hops. Taste is malty, not in a bad way. Just not dominated by a hop flavor. Overall an average IPA. Thanks Eric!
