3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Into a pint glass. Nice two fingers of foam head. Cloudy copper with lots of bubbles visible.
A soft grapefruit smell.
Bold pine and lemon taste. An almost crushing bitterness without let up.
Medium body and moderate carbonation.
A solid double IPA. From beginning to end it lets you know with its bitterness. A little more complex taste would be bonus.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle courtesy of jackl. Thanks! Pours a clear copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma of citrus, herbal hops and caramel malt. The taste is bitter resin, citrus, tropical hops and caramel malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, a little boring, but solid.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at the source, new location. Hazy golden amber color, fluffy white head, lacey lacing (what else would the lacing look like? but that’s what my notes say, so it must have meant something to me at the time). Aroma of fruity pine. Taste has pine resin and bitter fruit. Nice body. Solid.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Guess Who?, Bentonville. Slightly hazy deep orange pour with a large frothy white head. Pretty much a bunch of caramel-slathered cardboard on the nose. Not a great start. Flavors are pretty subdued. Malt-forward. Loads of caramel with a bit of hot peach fruit leather. More stale cardboard. Pretty boozy, somewhat oily. Not good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
5/3/2014. On tap at the brewery. Amber color with a white head. Pine and caramel aromas with hints of hops. A pronounced alcohol burn, but no overwhelming. Caramel flavors with a nice malt backbone.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
As a double IPA, this is really great if you like this style. Very flowery smell. Almost over powering taste of hops. (thats a good thing!) Very nice light amber color and had a nice thick foamy head that held the entire time I drank it. Nice job!!

12oz bottle 12/9/13 (Crown Plaza-LIT)-Pours a copperish amber with a decent off white head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of hops and malt. This medium to full bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty. Hides the ABV very well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
One of my favorite double IPAs. Nicely balanced, aggressive ABV and hops without being over powering or compromising the citrus notes!

FROM NOTES: July 19, ’12
Poured on draft into a pint glass at The Bulldog, Jackson, MS.
A: Piney, floral hops with a hint of sweetness from a honey type notes. Mostly floral/citrus type notes that are expected in an IPA.
A: Pours a deep gold with a large dense white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
T: Malty and a bit sweet. Strong caramel notes, some toffee, hints of honey-like sweetness. Hops are definitely there for bittering, but seem to just balance the malts. Citrus rind and maybe some pine. I was expecting a bit more complexity, it just seems like the hops don’t live up to the aroma.
P: Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
O: NO WAY this is a DIPA. Very drinkable and enjoyable, but NOT a DIPA.
