Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. Pretty much a classic beer. Grapefruit and caramel. Some nice fruit. Alcohol is not noted. A nice IIPA. Wish I would have taken better notes on this one.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Cavie (3382) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2010
Growler courtesy of our new friend BarZigKin. Clear orange color. White fizzy head. Large hop head right off the bat. Some edgy grains and light spice. Taste is hops and grain, molded plastic and punchy fruit. Strong but something on the finish holds it back. Best I’ve had from diamond bear however.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Pawola22 (3103) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 19, 2012
On tap at The Flying Saucer in Little Rock. Pours a cloudy, orange colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is a bit muted, but has a nice caramel backing with a good amount of florals and a light grapefruit pine. A bit of an herbal note to the hops as well. Flavor is better. Nice herbal and floral grapefruit up front before a balancing, medium sweet, slightly bready caramel comes in. A few resins and a light pine note before this finishes dry and moderately bitter with a light grapefruit and caramel sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid DIPA. Nice citrus notes and moderately bitter with a pleasant herbal, floral, and light pine resin hopping. Well balanced and pretty enjoyable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 travita (3050) - Frisco, Texas, USA - MAR 4, 2010
Growler thanks to barzigkin. The smell is citrus, pine, caramel, hops, and fruits. The look is clear, golden in color, with a light beige head. The taste is hops, pine, slight fruits, and decent bitterness.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 nimbleprop (3003) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - OCT 24, 2012
Sampled at GABF. Pours a clear gold with some spitty head. Nose is OK, pine, honey, citrus, earthy. Flavor is OK too, sweet, malty, oranges. Medium bodied, orangey finish. A little bland, needed more citrus pop.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ben4321 (3003) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 6, 2011
Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 6/6/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly citrusy, orange notes, a bit of candied sugar, and floral hop notes
Appearance: It pours a pretty much clear orange color with a frothy beige head and some lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly sweet for the style, orange candy sweetness, citrus and floral hops
Palate: The body is medium (plus), and it kind of coats the mouth with a lasting, cloying feel to it
Overall Impression:
I guess ye ole description could use an update, as this one is available in 12 oz bottles (I would know as I am currently drinking one). Anyway, this was actually rather solid. Considering that this is one of the (very) few breweries in a beer-lacking state, I wasn’t really expecting much from them, but so far their stuff has not been too bad. I’ll keeping drinking Diamond Bear brews when I’m in town.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 LilBeerDoctor (2816) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 22, 2013
On tap at Keg and Barrel. Pours a hazy orange with a pretty thick white head. Aroma of sweaty hops, citrus, tropical fruits. Flavor of sweet fruits up front with sticky, resiny hops in the finish. Not overly sweet like some IIPAs and not too heavy either. I quite liked it; despite prior ratings I found it very palatable and flavorful.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 HonkeyBra (2483) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Sampled at GABF 2011. Pours an amberish orang with a small white head. Aroma has a lot of citrus and floral notes. Unfortunately, the flavor is cardboard and mild hops. Kind of flabby on the tongue. Oxidized for sure. Hard to put even my total 1 oz. pour back. This is sad because the aroma hinted at great things for this beer. I will re-rated if I get a better sample of this beer. This was very cool to try, though.
