Sampled at GABF. Pours a clear gold with some spitty head. Nose is OK, pine, honey, citrus, earthy. Flavor is OK too, sweet, malty, oranges. Medium bodied, orangey finish. A little bland, needed more citrus pop.

ChainGangGuy (4351) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Appearance: Pours out a hazed, muted orange-hued body with an off-white (faintly yellowed) head.

Smell: Peppery notes and resiny hints integrated into a scent of orange marmalade atop the base maltiness yielding notes of bready pale malts, a little bit of golden syrup. Slight whiffs of alcohol, too.

Taste: Bready pale maltiness with a modest sweetness akin to treacle in the fore. Floral, citrusy hops, slightly resinous with a moderate degree of hop bitterness. As with the nose, a little alcohol showing. Dry, bitterish, citric finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Itíll do in a pinch!

jackl (4342) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Bottle from Guess Who?, Bentonville. Slightly hazy deep orange pour with a large frothy white head. Pretty much a bunch of caramel-slathered cardboard on the nose. Not a great start. Flavors are pretty subdued. Malt-forward. Loads of caramel with a bit of hot peach fruit leather. More stale cardboard. Pretty boozy, somewhat oily. Not good.

onceblind (3938) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 29, 2013
Clear copperish gold with a persistent foamy white head. Nose is dank and earthy hoppy with a funky bitter pine/floral/grapefruit resin nose, also with a citrusy caramelly backbone. The flavor is full and wonderful with lots of unbitter grapefruit sweetness, some caramel, and resiny bitterness with some floral undertones. Ends a bit leafy and floral with a lovely resin aftertaste.

Growler thanks to barzigkin. The smell is citrus, pine, caramel, hops, and fruits. The look is clear, golden in color, with a light beige head. The taste is hops, pine, slight fruits, and decent bitterness.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 6/6/11

Aroma: The nose is fairly citrusy, orange notes, a bit of candied sugar, and floral hop notes
Appearance: It pours a pretty much clear orange color with a frothy beige head and some lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly sweet for the style, orange candy sweetness, citrus and floral hops
Palate: The body is medium (plus), and it kind of coats the mouth with a lasting, cloying feel to it
Overall Impression: I guess ye ole description could use an update, as this one is available in 12 oz bottles (I would know as I am currently drinking one). Anyway, this was actually rather solid. Considering that this is one of the (very) few breweries in a beer-lacking state, I wasnít really expecting much from them, but so far their stuff has not been too bad. Iíll keeping drinking Diamond Bear brews when Iím in town.

Cavie (3750) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2010
Growler courtesy of our new friend BarZigKin. Clear orange color. White fizzy head. Large hop head right off the bat. Some edgy grains and light spice. Taste is hops and grain, molded plastic and punchy fruit. Strong but something on the finish holds it back. Best Iíve had from diamond bear however.

Tasted in 2010 (backlog). Gold in color with a small white head. Aroma is of grass, spicy hops, and light citrus. Taste is of grass and grain.
