12 ounce bottle courtesy of jackl. Thanks! Pours a clear copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma of citrus, herbal hops and caramel malt. The taste is bitter resin, citrus, tropical hops and caramel malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, a little boring, but solid.

Growler courtesy of our new friend BarZigKin. Clear orange color. White fizzy head. Large hop head right off the bat. Some edgy grains and light spice. Taste is hops and grain, molded plastic and punchy fruit. Strong but something on the finish holds it back. Best I’ve had from diamond bear however.

Pours an orange cloudy haze, light head. Aroma is more malt than citrus. Some hop up front on taste, medium to light bitterness, then some floral on the finish. Medium body. Not a big hoppy DIPA but a big beer.

Into a pint glass. Nice two fingers of foam head. Cloudy copper with lots of bubbles visible. A soft grapefruit smell. Bold pine and lemon taste. An almost crushing bitterness without let up. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A solid double IPA. From beginning to end it lets you know with its bitterness. A little more complex taste would be bonus.

Draft. Bulldog. Jackson MS. Light gold and clear. Nose is mild as its very cold. Taste is malty with some nice sweeter hops. Sticky and sweet. Goes down smooth. Nice. Points off for no aroma.

12oz bottle 12/9/13 (Crown Plaza-LIT)-Pours a copperish amber with a decent off white head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of hops and malt. This medium to full bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty. Hides the ABV very well.

Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. This beer is a clear bronze color with a medium thin off-white head and spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus and hops. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops and grainy malt. The finish is short and lightly hopped. Just average overall.

FROM NOTES: July 19, ’12 Poured on draft into a pint glass at The Bulldog, Jackson, MS. A: Piney, floral hops with a hint of sweetness from a honey type notes. Mostly floral/citrus type notes that are expected in an IPA. A: Pours a deep gold with a large dense white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass. T: Malty and a bit sweet. Strong caramel notes, some toffee, hints of honey-like sweetness. Hops are definitely there for bittering, but seem to just balance the malts. Citrus rind and maybe some pine. I was expecting a bit more complexity, it just seems like the hops don’t live up to the aroma. P: Medium bodied with medium carbonation. O: NO WAY this is a DIPA. Very drinkable and enjoyable, but NOT a DIPA.
